Hi all,

When I visited Benedikt last year, he was not very interested in
making sarrusophones (or other double reeds). He did make the CC
contra, and just confirmed that he will be making an Eb bari (to low
G, to cover the entire bassoon range), but he told me he has no plans
to manufacture these instruments. He will make them custom, to order,
for one willing to pay the price of such an instrument. From what I've
seen of his design and workmanship, I'm sure any such instrument would
be well worth the price.
