Re: [Sarrusophone] Playing harness for a Contrabass Sarrusophone?

Hello Steve,

I also was unsuccessful in finding a comfortable strap arrangement for my Conn contrabass.  I made a stand and adapted it to a throne base.  I no longer have the instrument, but the stand is still here in the corner.  As you can see, the stand is completely adjustable for any size musician.

Subject: [Sarrusophone] Playing harness for a Contrabass Sarrusophone?

Curious what players are finding effective as playing harness for their Contrabass Sarrusophone?

Been trying different straps & harness, including combinations, without arriving at an acceptable setup.

The Contrabass is a Conn with the two neckstrap rings.

Thoughts, recommendations & pictures greatly appreciated!

Steve W

Pierre, Did the two top hooks engage the strap hooks? If so, how was this accomplished, can they be turned? Did the bottom arm go under the bow? Jack...

Hello Jack, You're right! The top two prongs engage the strap-loop holes, and are bent slightly upward near their end in order to keep the instrument from...
