December 22, 2005 Jeanette Lee plays “The Boom Boom Bap” on BBC Radio
January 2006 Astonishingly Green’s new band (under the name Double G and the Traitorous 3) plays live with a new lineup of band mates at the Windmill in Brixton. The first time on stage playing live for Green in over 2 decades.
Early in 2006, and once again eventually under the name Scritti Politti, they gig around Europe.
In mid 2006 “White Bread, Black Beer” is released. It was nominated for the coveted Mercury Award in the UK as album of the year.
Then Green takes his band on a worldwide tour through Japan, the US, Canada and the UK again.
The Scritti Politti fans in the world are stunned by the quality and very personal new album and the worldwide tour.
The year was capped by a short gig played at Rough Trade’s Christmas party on December 19th, 2006.
Green hooked up with Alexis Taylor from Hot Chip at a pub. Green was quoted as asking "Are you I think you are?" to Alexis. After some collaboration they played a few songs at a couple of gigs.
Green and Dave Ferret played live on BBC2 on May 16th on the Charles Hazelwood show with 2 new tracks that Green just wrote recently. The two songs, "Unfrozen" and "Forgiven."
Green played live at the Venn Festival on June 2nd with a couple of SP members.
July 2nd, 2007 Plan B magazine released issue #23 (with Bjork on the cover) with a Rough Trade compliation CD called Summertime Blues. The CD includes a new Scritti Politti track called "Forgiven". Order yours from Plan B Magazine online: http://www.planbmag.com/order/
December 17th, 2007 Green and company, with a new drummer and Alexis Taylor from Hot Chip Scritti Politti plays a live gig at the Luminaire for a Rough Trade Christmas party. (Green looks like a lumberjack. What's up with that!?!)
