Hiya! I have attended the vigil for the last 5 years,
there's usually about 150-200 people there on the
Saturday night of vigil weekend. Some stay for the
Friday-Sunday, but Saturday is when Shannon's family
comes. It's a very enlightening and comforting trip
to make, I call it the Mecca for Melonheads :) In
addition to the record store, I know there's a little
kiosk in the mall close to the cemetary that sells
drawings, in pencil and in colour, of Shannon. That's
something I've never seen anywhere else.
The best thing I can say about the vigil is... it will
change your life! You absolutlely will not have to
explain your feelings on Shannon, the band, and the
music because everyone there already understands. Not
too often you get to say that. My first vigil I said
I felt like the bee girl :)
Start planning now... vigil 05 in 334 days :)
