Hey Everyone,
I'm a new member to this group but have been a fan
of SL&B since I was kid. Even though I'm 21 now I
Still am :O) A few friends and I made our own website
a few months ago, and we're getting set up with
Interviewing Them this fall. Have a look at it, and
please feel free to sign the guest book. I LOVE!!!!
the picture of SL&B in concert t-shirts from sing a to
z's tour. How did you get that? I saw Sharon & Bram
in concert in 1998 (Skinnamarink TV Sing Along Live)
when Lois's husband Ernest died. But I got to see all
three the next year with the TSO (CANDLES, SNOW &
MISTLETOE) I have two photos of me with Sharon &
Bram, that I wouldn't mind putting up on the site.
Enjoy and THIS IS A GREAT site.

That picture is from several yoears ago from my private collection.
I mailed them the T-shirts in advance and they were wearing them
after a concert in Massachusetts. I didn't know they would be
wearing them. I love your Super Skinnamarink Web site.
Sharon sent me an email a few months ago, and updated me about a few
things.
My PC is broken so my reply time may be slow.

Hey!
Glad you like my Super Skinnamarink Site. I have like
every video of SLB, but there are a few I am looking
for. What SLB videos do you have in your collection?
You name it, I got it.

Hey Paul,
Thanks for messaging back. did you know that ONE
ELEPHANT, DEUX ELEPHANTS has been re-packaged only on
cd for the trios 25th anniversery this year? I guess
cassettes have now fizzled out. I was in shock, when I
first saw it in the stores a month ago. The best part
about it, is the cd cover. Not only did they use the
old LP covers, theres a poster foldout collage.
As Adam said, glad you like our site, and there are a
few specials the trio made we don't have for our
collections. We Just got 2 of the 4 episodes of
TODAY'S SPECIAL that they appeared on in 1983 & 1985.
Smiles -They sing I Am Slowly Going Crazy
Songs -They sing Canadian Jig Medley
The two we can't find on T's Specials video volumes,
are IMAGINATION and NEWSPAPERS.
Newspapers, used to be shown on Tree House. However
it's been 4 years now that the station played the old
show. The sang RAGS.
Imagaination was even better, because the episode was
basically about them. Sam thinks there are aliens on
the roof and go up to find it's SL&B practicing SIDE
BY SIDE.
Anyways, Adam's been getting set up with interviewing
the trio for the site, but Sharon hasn't been able to
reply to the emailed questions. One day hopefully
though, then we can move on to Lois Bram and Eric too.
I heard that Lois performed with Sharon & Bram in
April for some benifit. It would be great if she
decides to tour with them this year for their 25th.
See when I finally saw them in concert it wasn't til
1998's Skinnamarink TV Sing Along LIVE at Elgin
Theater, when Lois had just lost Ernest. Sharon &
Bram did an amazing job coping with the songs. Then
luckily the next year I got to see all three for the
TSO's Candles, Snow & Mistletoe concerts.
Unforunately I didn't get a chance for photos with
them, just autographs.
I think I've always been told to let go of that
part of life, but then again, aren't we all kids at
heart? It's good to try and keep some of your
childhood. Not Neccisarily having their 9 lps and
special 1982 Holiday record frame on your wall but aw
well :O) It seems to be a never ending treasure hunt,
when you find out more stuff groups, tv shows and
actors put out.
What else are you into, music/movie or theater wise?

I think I have them all. I have taped every elephant show, although I think,
they didn't air one episode in the US - but I can't be sure about that. Is
there an 1982 holiday album out there I never heard about?

Hey. They didn't air Unicef in the U.S., although I
have it. I have every episode perfect quality
unedited. I either got my episodes from a video
series, the Bullfrog Films company (they put out
videos for libraries and teachers of every episode of
seasons 1-3), and I got some episodes (mainly 4th and
5th season from Cambium).
There is no 1982 holiday album. I know for a fact.

Hey Paul,
There was a Xmas record made long before Candles,
Snow & Mistletoe. In 1982 the trio hosted the Santa
Clause Parade in Toronto. We found it on Ebay a while
back, and I'm still waiting on a friend to dub it onto
cd for me. I'll send you a copy if you like, I can
also dub the Today's Special episodes for you. So by
the last messages I take it you live in the US like
Adam. Well I'm in Toronto Canada, and have visited a
lot of the locations used on The Elephant Show. a few
of the other specials they did before we were born
were:
1979- SL&B downtown 30mins CBC
1980- SL&B Jungle Jam 30 mins CBC
1980- SL&B In Concert with Bill Usher 60mins CBC
There are also some talk shows they have appeared
on in Canada, and I'm still looking for them as well.
CBC and TVO have been very negative towards me obtaing
stuff. Cambium gave us 14 episodes of ESHOW we need
last year. Only $140.00 in total :O)
Then there's the 2nd tv show. Skinnamarink TV still
airs in Canada and in the US, but for some reason The
Discovery Channel and TLC have only been airing the
2nd season for the past year. No clue why. I didn't
mind the show too much actually, accept for C.C. and
Ella most of the time. As a kid, one wish I always
had if I ever met them was to hug Elephant. too bad
it took years later to meet them . Let me know if I
can ever help with your photo gallery, or if you'd
ever like to read some of the many articles the
Toronto Star and Sun have put out through their
career.

I would love to get copies of the Santa Clause Parade and Today's
specail. I had seen the Today's Specail Show along time ago and
only have a memory of it.
What songs did they sing at the Santa Clause Parade?
Paul
Hey Paul,
In November 1998 a few days before the 20th
Anniversery tour (Skinnamarink TV sing along LIVE)
kicked off, Ernest lilienstein lost a year long battle
with bone cancer. He was a professor at York
University in Onario. The papers didn't talk anything
more about him, I guess for Lois's sake, but in an
article talking about the trio's 20th ann. they just
touched on an announcement Bram would make before each
performance.
"Well Lois won't be here today, she's looking after a
sick friend, and feels sad and very tired, so she'd
feel better knowing we still all are having a good
time , sends her love and hopes to back seeing you all
soon"
That's basically the jist of what Bram said that I can
rememeber from the concert. Still Sharon and Bram did
a great job. Any new pics or memebers added to your
site these days? I think I forgot to say this in the
last message, did you know for the trio's 25th
anniversery this year, they've re-packaged ONE
ELEPHANT, DUEX ELEPHANTS only on cd (yep I guess
cassettes have now fizzled out). What's really cool
is that the cd cover doesn't just have the LP's covers
with them standing behind the blue paper machee
elephantis outside, but the flaps are a poster
foldout, with a collage from over the years.

That's very sad, feel bad for Lois. What happened after that? Did
she just stop performing with the trio?
You had mentioned the "One Elephant" release with the 25th
anniversary CD cover, I would love to see it. But I haven't seen
too much of SLB here in the US. You've got to get that scanner
working, buddy!
I want more SLB in USA! I miss the days when they would tour ALL of
north America - sold out shows - I saw them in Boston and went to
New York many times, too. I have seen them in concert soooo many
times, and also on Broadway in Candles, Snow & Mistletoe (that was
amazing!)
Paul
hey Paul,
I'm soooo jealous of you right now :O) You've had
the chance to see the trio in concert so many times,
and not only that but you saw them on Broadway in
Candles... Have you taken pics or rememeber what they
wore in the concerts? I have an article that talks
about the stage version of Candles, and it says the
trio and Elephant head to the North Pole to cheer
Santa up from all the greedy kids in the world. Were
they wearing those off-white suits in the pic I have
on Adam and I's site?
Well Lois grieved for a good 4 months, but then helped
finish up the SKIN TV sing along tour in March 1999,
then I saw the three in Dec 1999, where Sharon & Lois
wore the off-white suits with Green and Red velvet rin
stoned blouses, and Bram wore a peach dress shirt, with
off-white pants and the Vest he wore in Candles...
home video. I really wish I could have gotten a pic
of the three together and of 1 with Lois and I, but
the usher forced them backstage after signing my
program. Then in Jan, SL&B along with other Canadain
singers and groups performed in a Benifit for the
FAMILY FARMS. In Feb, they performed at Toronto's
Winterfest. I couln't go because of a Oac Law group
project. Two weeks after Bram had accepted their JUNO
award for Skinnamarink Tv's recording, Lois annouced
in papers that she was going to be taking an
"Indefinate leave" from concert touring. It wasn't
really a FULL retirement, because the article stated
that she would still sing with Sharon & Bram at
various benifits for UNICEF. So in May 2000, Sharon,
Bram & Friends was made. The friends part was CC or
Ella. I really don't know why they ever retired
Elephant, for those two puppets. In August, Lois
helped Sharon & Bram host a Unicef concert celebrating
the end of summer. Missed it cause I left for
college. That reminds me, I'm now 21, Adams 17, how
old are you?
Anyways, I was looking at a site a while ago, it said
that Lois was added to a list of performers for a
tribute concert in April. I think the tribute was for
an old professor/teacher friend. Well when the site
first showed the line up in feb, they only mentioned
Sharon & Bram. However a month later they had updated
it saying Lois would be there onstage too, so maybe
Lois has climed back on the Tour bus :O)
I hope so, I'd love to see the full trio onstage to
celebrate their 25th year.
The following Cds are still available in Canada, so
let me know which ones you need:
-ONE ELEPHANT, DUEX ELEPHANTS (25th Anniversery
Edition)
-SINGING & SWINGING
-MAINLY MOTHER GOOSE
-THE ELEPHANT SHOW VOLUME 1 (ESHOW RECORD)
-ELEPHANT PARTY (HAPPY BIRTHDAY)
-SING A TO Z
-GREAT BIG HITS
-CANDLES, SNOW & MISTELTOE
-CANDLES LONG AGO
-SONGS FOR ROUND THE CAMPFIRE (SING AROUND...)

-FRIENDS FOREVER
-SKINNAMARINK TV

discontinued in 1994, and as far as I know, the
release of SMORGASBORD, IN THE SCHOOLYARD, 1234LIVE!
and STAY TUNED will not be out on cd anytime soon :O(

bet you've not had the chance to visit the trios

They have worn some absolutely beautiful costumes over the years. I
do remember the CS&M show: they were wearing sort of
elegant "velvet" looking costumes. Lois was in blue, Sharon was in
kind of brown and green. Bram had a blue suit. They were VERY
similar to the video version of CS&M. I don't remember the white
outfits IN the show. After intermission - yes intermission - Sharon
and Lois changed into very lovely, beautiful gowns. Bram was wearing
a tuxedo. That was a GREAT show! I have a couple of black and
white pictures my friend took backstage. I also have a promotional
video from their press agent, which has clips from New York news
programs they appeared on and clips from the show itself.
Unfortunately, all my pics are in Boston, MA. I just moved to
Florida, and couldn't take everything with me.
I am 27, I have been a fan since a kid, and meet the trio more then
12 years ago. I first interviewed them for a local cable access
program I produced when I was 18. They have invited my to their
shows ever since. I had lost track over the past few years because
I was growing up and working. I traveled the USA last year and sent
Sharon a letter, and she responded very nicely. That's when she
mentioned about Lois, and I decided to make this site. They are a
very important part of my life!
Thanks for the info.
It's nice that someone else has the same interest about SLB.
Paul
Hey Paul,
sorry I haven't had a chance to message lately.
Are there any new members to your group yet? I found
another episode of Today's Special that Sharon, Lois &
Bram guest stared on. The 3 out 4 episodes they
appeared on in 1983 and 1985, that Adam and I now have
and can tape for you are:
1983-Songs (they sang Candian Jig Medley)
1983-Newspapers (they sang RAGS)
1985- Smiles (they sang I am Slowly Going Crazy.
I'm in the process of finding the other episode as
well. Yes I did recieve your last few emails, and I
would LOVE to have a copy of the Interview you did on
them with scenes from Candles, LIVE SHOW on Broadway.
If I could also see scans of the pics you have that
would be great too. I'm still in shock that I know
someone else, who feels the same way I do about SL&B.
They were basically my role models growing up, and
have been a major part of my life. They introduced me
to music and liking theater. I really hope Lois will
join Sharon & Bram onstage this year for their 25th
anniversery.

Hey Paul,

Can you believe it? The first time I saw Sharon, Lois and Bram LIVE
in concert in Boston was November 1989. It was my birthday, and the
tickets were a surprise gift. It was a great moment! At that time
they were making yearly visits to Boston during concerts tours. The
next year SLB did a show at the Cape Cod Melody tent. I had tickets
and made an "Elephant Coach" sweatshirt to wear. {You may remember
SLB wearing "Elephant Coach" sweatshirts on a few "Elephant Show"
episodes.) I thought the sweatshirt would get there attention, and
it did. After the show, Sharon and Bram (Lois was sick) signed some
autographs and said Hello to a couple of us. But when they saw my
shirt we hit it off. They brought me back to see Lois and Elephant
and we had a great meeting. the next year: I was doing my own cable
access show, and thought it would great to interview the trio. I got
their press agent's name in New York and made the deal! It was a
great interview and the trio was happy to see me. After that they
had the tour manager call me and invite me to the concert for the
next few years... I traveled to New York several times to see the
shows and loved every one of them; Especially Candles, Snow and
Mistletoe on Broadway!

GREAT BIG HITS vol 2, is AMAZING!!! 2 weeks ago,

released a new collection of their all-time favorites.
Yep not only is it their 25th anniversery, but they
have a re-release of One Elephant, Deux Elephants on

I must admit, it would have been great for another
posterfoldout in the cd flap just like One Elephants
cd, but aw well. I will be definately scanning that
poster collage for this group :O)

Hey Pual :O) and others,
Grab your stockings cause good things come in three this holiday,
by our favorite group SL&B. Cassablanca INC, the trios new licensed
company have released 2 albums and FISHER PRICE has a musical series
as well. I've talked about the 25th edition cd of One Elephant, Duex
Elephants. Yep cassettes for them are now out, only cds, and just
recently GREAT BIG HITS 2, but this new cd is just as memorable to
mention. It's called "Mother Goose and More" which consists of
almost all Mainly Mother Goose's album from 1984, but add some hits
from Eshow Record, Sing A to Z and Singing & Swinging and BAM!!!!!!!
The artwork on the front is basically an updated version of Mainly
Mother Goose's painted album jacket. Sharon is Miss Muffet, with some
grey hair peaking through her bonet, Lois is Mary with a lamb and has
blonde hair with some white through it, although it may be a wig.
Bram is dressed as The Grand Ol Duke of York and has almost has a
fully white beard. Very up to date look. :O)
So far that's it for new merch, but Cassablanca hopes to re-realse
some of the old albums, maybe even Stay Tuned, Smorgasbord, In The
Schoolyard and 1234LIVE! Who knows :O)
Lates everyone
Steve M.
This recording is one of THE best from our favorite trio. With both
Chanukah and Christmas songs, and clever lyric changes and medleys,
not to mention the original Nutcracker sequence makes this record
TOPS! The original video is JUST as important! The trio was at their
best (and still are) during the recording of these holiday treats.
Merry Christmas, Happy Chanukah and a PEACEFUL New Year to ALL!
Hey! I am pretty new to this group but I have a question. I have
always loved the Elephant Show and I am in search of the old LP's,
records, from SLB. I have One Elephant, Deux Elephants, Singin' and
Swingin', One, Two, Three, Four, Live!, Smorgasboard, and Elephant
Show Record. I am in search for In The Schoolyard big time, Mainly
Mother Goose, and so on. If you could help me out I would be forever
grateful!
Plus one more thing. Has anyone heard of a reunion of any sort. I know
Lois is not performing anymore but I didn't know if anything was going
on. Thanks for your help!!
Hey there,
I've been a part of this group since June I think. I
am 21 and am still as crazy about SL&B as I was when I
first listened to One Elephants lp. EBAY is the best
spot to buy their old lps. That's what I did. I have
all their cds, lps, the 65 episodes of Elephant Show,
52 of Skinnamarink Tv and met them in 1998 and 1999
before Lois took her Hiatus/retirement from touring.
Lois however has been onstage lately at benifits with
Sharon and Bram like for UNICEF. You know about the
three cds that came out last year right? One Elephant
was remastered on cd in a 25th anniversery package.
Great Big Hits 2 and Mother Goose & More (which is
actually Mainly Mother Goose with more hits added)
Still great though.
we should talk more sometime. have AOL, ICQ or yahoo

2nd Sharon, Bram & Friends were in concert for 2 shows at Markham

concert brings out the unique style that is SLB. The bonus features
include never before seen personal photos and narration from each

learning the alphabet theme. This is a must have for kids of any
age but particularly young folks learning their ABC's, and parents
who have to watch it over and over and over again! Great
