Hey everyone-
Nice work this week. In my 15 open minutes yesterday, I threw together 2 very sketchy verses and a chorus for a new song. Today I’ve been skimming along on caffeine and hope (as I often do on 4 hours of sleep!). If my kids can survive the rest of their homework without me tonight, I’ll try to make a start on something new. Tomorrow’s a bit more open, so I’ll try to get something posted by then. Have a lovely night.

here’s the VERY rough start:
Investigating Happiness
He found it on a subway in a baby’s smiling eyes
He found it on the sidewalk, chalky landscape.....(something about sidewalk art)
He found it in the café in the muffin of the day
He found it in the lilac bushes lining the highway
He didn’t even know what he was looking for
as he traveled on those roads that he knew best
He kept on moving day by day
Investigating happiness
She found it in the sun-drenched morning ripples on the lake
She found it in the remnants of a dream she couldn’t shake
She found it in the starry night with crickets singing loud
She found it in her mother’s face sketched out by a cloud
She didn’t even know what she was looking for
as she walked those country paths that she knew best
She kept on moving day by day
Investigating happiness
