Our May Guest Speaker will be: 

Jimi Yamagishi is the founder and director of The Los Angeles Songwriters' Network.  Producer, Sideman, 
Recording Engineer & more, Jimi Yamagishi is not just another singer-songwriter. He is also the Songsalive! 
Industry liaison.   Jimi brings over three decades of life in this industry to the table, helping other songwriters 
make those crucial connections along with actively playing the circuit to keep current.  I the early 70's, playing
with his band "Inspirit", he often shared the stage with some of the most respected artists of the Jesus 
movement like Karen Lafferty, The Way, & Keith Green.  A veteran session musician with a wide variety of 
genres in his pockets, his solo material features lyrical wit similar to Michael Franks, smooth James Taylor-esqe

The monthly workshops are hosted by Mike V and will comprise 2 sections: 

Guest Speaker - Each month will have a guest speaker sharing their insights regarding the craft of songwriting. 

Song presentation and critique - Songwriters will present their original songs either by playing it live, CD or
tape for the group (please bring 15 to 20 copies of the lyrics). The group then provides feed back to the songwriter, 
always in a loving positive manner. 

South Bay Songwriters Roundtable - A place where songwriters who write from a Christian world view 
perspective can come together and share their songs in an atmosphere of love and acceptance.
Our Mission is to provide a forum and tools for songwriters enabling them to excel at their art. 
The group is open to All styles of music.

The South Bay Songwriters Roundtable meets on the 3rd Thursday of the month.
