Helene McCardle and Nancy Gassner-Clayton sing the original songs of G. F. Mlely, guest songwriter/speaker featured at the Hollywood Studio Bar & Grill, February 23, 2009, 8pm-9pm, part of the regular Singer/Songwriter Salons held there each Monday.
Helene McCardle’s credits include a co-starring role in “Cold Case,” a recurring role in “Grey’s Anatomy,” and featured in the soon to be released film “Janky Promoters.” She also sings on “A Drop of Rain - Songs of Strength and Hope for Darfur,” a CD in support of that country’s needs.
Nancy Gassner-Clayton performed with Christina Aguilera on the Grammy Awards and on her latest CD, sings regularly on film soundtracks such as “Evan Almighty,” “Tinkerbell,” Ron Howard’s upcoming “Angels and Demons,” and has performed with the LA Opera.
G. F. Mlely is acclaimed worldwide as a jazz pianist and composer, and is a songwriter whose music has been produced and recorded by Freddie Hubbard, The Cunninghams (Grammy-nominated album), George Harrison, as well as on his own CDs, and is author of “The 8-Tone Quarto-Modes Concept,“ and the musical play “Venice.”
There is a $5 cover plus one drink minimum.
