Some really great MisterB shows this weekend....   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #418 of 439 |
The band's got some great shows this weekend. Some very good causes and both
have really good raffle prizes. Hope you can join MisterB and the new band with
Leo Cates on lead guitar, Cathy B on drums (that's right...drums), and Ed
Estrella on bass. These are shows that you need to come to with an open heart.

Friday - May 29
Anamaria Araya Benefit Concert
Viento y Agua (a great laid-back coffee house)
4007 E. 4th - Long Beach CA
6:30 - 9:30 pm. All ages. $10 donation.

Great entertainment to help raise money for Anamaria's cancer treatment. We're
gonna have some great acts including: Cicco & John Araya, Sean Baumgartner, The
Fallen Stars, Without the Blonde, MisterB & the Band, and our favorite punk
band, the Potential Lunatics. This is an acoustic show so you'll get to see
Cathy B on the cajon.

$10 donation gives you a ticket to win some cool raffle gifts (including some
from the band Slayer). Guaranteed to be a great evening of entertainment and
good feelings. Hope you can make it.

Saturday - May 30 - 1-9 pm
Hep C Aware Long Beach Event
Liquid Lounge (one of our very favorite places to play)
3522 E Anaheim St - Long Beach
No cover. 21+

We've been invited by our friend Kelly Z (of Kelly's Lot) to participate in the
First Annual Hep C Aware Long Beach Event to raise awareness of Hepatitis C.

We're gonna be joined, in a full day of music (1-9 pm) by some great acts:
including the father of the Long Beach blues scene, Bernie Pearl, Holly Light,
Patsy Grind, Michelle Mangione, New Orleans bluesman Scott Detweiler, Babylon
Blues, So Cal Blues Challenge winner Phil Gates, Evonne Rivera and the great
Kelly's Lot. We'll be on about 1:30.

There will also be free screening and antibody testing available from 1-9pm.

This event remembers those who have lost the battle with Hepatitis C and those
who are struggling to survive. Through the years, Hepatitis C has infected the
lives of millions of Americans including Naomi Judd, Natalie Cole, Steven Tyler,
Pamela Anderson and Mickey Mantle. Money raised from raffle donations at the
event goes directly to materials that are distributed all over the USA including
Long Beach.

Raffle items include a guitar donated by Grace Slick and lots of other prizes
donated by the The Long Beach Symphony, Los Angeles Blues Society, Miranda
Mirsec, Two Umbrellas Café, Buonos Pizza, Liquid Lounge, Flowers by Vicky, Long
Beach Barber Shop, Black Market, Rock Bottom Café, Aquarium of The Pacific, Loft
on Broadway, Long Beach Opera, Lace Pickups and Guitars and Crystal Hot Sauce,
Roche, Stella Artois, EarCandy, The Dr. Phil Show, paintings by Cindi and Dover.

We would love to see your smiling face at one of these special shows.
