Dear Drummers and Dancers,

This is just a quick reminder of a couple of upcoming events - a more
thorough newsletter will reach you in the next few days.

A. TONIGHT (THURSDAY)

DELRAY BEACH WEEKLY DRUM CIRCLE
Every Thursday, 8pm - midnight, free
Old School Square (in front of the stage), north of Atlantic Ave. &
just east of Swinton Blvd., Delray Beach FL
This event happens rain or shine (if it's dry we're on the grass; if
it rains we go up on the stage till the rain stops).
Plenty of free parking in the parking lot east of the park.

Directions:
1. Take I-95 or the Florida Turnpike
2. Exit Atlantic Ave. east (in Delray Beach)
3. About 1 mile east of I-95 you'll approach Swinton Ave., stay in
the right lane (Atlantic Ave. narrows to 2 lanes past Swinton)
4. Pass Swinton Ave. and turn left at the next street (a short, dead-
end street with access to the parking lot)
5. Turn right at the 2nd opportunity, into the free parking lot.
6. Old School Square Park is directly west of the parking lot.

If there's a celebration on Atlantic Ave., and it's difficult to
reach the parking lot because of police barricades, substitute these
directions for steps 4-6 above:
4b. 1 block before (west of) Swinton, turn left (north) on NW 1st Ave.
5b. Go 2 streets and turn right (east) on NW 2nd St.
6b. Cross Swinton, go 1 street - turn right (south) on NE 1st Ave.
7b. Pass NW 1st St., go 1/2 block further, turn left (east) into the
regular parking lot.
OR, if 6b and 7b don't work, substitute:
6c. Cross Swinton, go 2 streets - turn right (south) on NE 2nd Ave.
7c. Pass NW 1st St., go 1/2 block further, turn right (west) into
the regular parking lot.

B. TOMORROW (FRIDAY)

SUNSPORT GARDENS BONFIRE! DRUM CIRCLE
Every Friday, 8:30pm - midnight, free
14125 North Road, Loxahatchee FL,
Note: Sunsport is a clothing-optional community, a family naturist
resort founded in 1965. Nudity is completely optional, and many
drummers/dancers remain clothed, but some nudity may be
present.
Weather permitting, drumming occurs around a big bonfire. In rainy
weather, the drum circle moves inside a building next to the pool.
Afterward, you may use their pool, hottub, or sauna - please bring
a towel.

Directions:
* From the south and east:
1. Take the Florida Turnpike or I-95 north
2. Exit Okeechobee Blvd. west (Turnpike exit #99; I-95 exit #70)
3. Go west 8.5 miles beyond the Turnpike
4. After driving through the town of Royal Palm Beach, pass the
fire station, turn right (north) on D Road (a dirt road).
5. Go 1.9 miles till D Rd. ends at a 'T' (North Rd.)
6. Turn right onto North Rd.
7. Make the first left turn (about 0.3 miles down North Rd.)
into Sunsport Gardens.
8. Inside, bear right and right again toward the bonfire site,
next to the pond.
* From the North:
1. Take I-95 south
2. Exit at Northlake Blvd. west
3. Go west 8.5 miles
4. Turn left at a traffic light onto Coconut Blvd.
5. Go 5 miles till the road ends at a 'T' (40th St.)
6. Turn right onto 40th St.
7. Go 1.5 miles
8. Jog left at 140th Ave. (look for the sign)
9. After a short distance, turn right into Sunsport Gardens
* From the West:
1. Take SR 80 east
2. Turn left (north) at traffic light at Seminole Pratt Whitney
3. Go 1.5 miles
4. Turn right (east) on Okeechobee Blvd.
5. Turn left (north) on D Road (a dirt road)
6. Go 1.9 miles till D Rd. ends at a 'T' (North Rd.)
7. Turn right onto North Rd.
8. Make the first left turn (about 0.3 miles down North Rd.)
into Sunsport Gardens
9. Inside, bear right and right again toward the bonfire site,
next to the pond.


C. FULL MOON DRUM CIRCLES: Tuesday, March 14th (in 2 weeks)
One in each county, on the beach!
1. Lake Worth (Palm Beach Cty.)
2. Ft. Lauderdale (Broward Cty.)
3. Miami Beach (Miami-Dade Cty.)

D. SPRING EQUINOX BONFIRE DRUM CIRCLE: Monday, March 20th (in 3 weeks)
Around a bonfire, in a State Park, in Ft. Lauderdale
Watch for details.
