Divine names and sacred phrases from many spiritual traditions. No

Saturday March 18th
Spring Equinox Sun Celebration (Pagan)
Held at: Unitarian Universalist Church of Ft. Lauderdale, 3970 NW 21st
Ave. (between Commercial and Oakland Park Blvds.), Oakland Park FL,
954-484-6734, 7:00 - 11:00pm, free.
Sponsored by: The Moon Path Chapter of Covenant of Unitarian Univer-
salist Pagans (CUUPS), http://MoonPathCUUPS.org
"Everyone (Pagan or not) is invited to attend the Spring Equinox Sun
Celebration which will conform to, and celebrate, the Ancient Tradi-
tion." There will be drumming, dancing, chanting, and feasting. Feel
free to come dressed in garb or costume. Bring your drums and percus-
sion instruments, as well as food and drink to share for the feast to
follow the Celebration. Bring canned or non-perishable food items, to
be donated to the Cooperative Feeding Program of Broward County. The
Spring or Vernal Equinox is the official first day of Spring - the
season of rebirth. As day and night are of equal length, it is a time
of equilibrium, moving toward the light half of the year.
Editor's note: the last time this event was held, at the Winter Solstace,
it was advertised that there would be a bonfire drum circle after the
main ceremony. That drum circle never materialized, and the organizers
of the event did not appear concerned with that or make any attempt to
organize it to happen. Some impromtu drumming occured well before that,
but not the bonfire drum circle as advertised. So it is recommended that
you go to the event primarilly for the celebration aspect, not for the
drumming, which may or may not occur.
