TURIYA MEDITATION (TM): FREE INTRODUCTORY TALK
MONDAY, FEBRUARY 11TH, 7:30-9:00pm
(and the 2nd Monday of every month)
Hear about the practical and spiritual results that effortless meditation
can bring about, and see a review of the powerful scientific research ver-
ifying these results. Find out how to learn this ancient, yet modern tech-
nique, to use as a tool to improve your life.
If you've ever wondered about meditation, if you've ever tried some form
of meditation that left you unsatisfied or frustrated, if you've ever
longed to wake up and remember your core Reality, if you've ever wanted
to unfold the 90% of our potential that lies dormant within us - you must
attend one of these talks, given by an expert who was initiated into the
ancient vedic/yogic tradition of Masters, and who has trained thousands
of people over the past 35 years!
Deep meditation unfolds the full 200% potential of life - 100% inner
peace & freedom, plus 100% outer dynamism, intelligence, creativity,
love, health, success, & happiness. This is the meditation described
by Maharishi Patanjali in the Yoga Sutras (the guidebook for yoga) -
the simple, natural, effortless meditation that brings fulfillment to
the practice of yoga, that establishes samadhi at the core of life, and
that brings (1) increased clarity of mind and intelligence, (2) better
health, physical coordination, and reversal of stress-related aging,
(3) more loving, compassionate, giving behavior, and deeper relation-
ships, (4) and the very real foundation for a peaceful society.
Modern life can be a very pressured and stressful experience; this me-
ditation is the most effective stress-melting technology in the world.
Held at the PremYoga Center, 1095 N. Military Tr., West Palm Beach
Just west of the Palm Beach Airport, 1 block north of Belvedere, on the
west side of Military Tr., across from Wal-Mart.

Changing Times Drumming Circle
5:30-7:30pm, $20
Led by David A. Cronin and Buckley Griffis
Come celebrate the power of the drum as we come together in sacred cir-
cle. Drumming is a wonderful way of connecting to one’s inner self while
at the same time creating a powerful group experience. Drumming is one
of mankind’s most ancient forms of self-discovery, entertainment, and
communication. Allowing oneself to open into the experience of drumming
oftentimes moves the mind past the conscious thinking level and into a
sense of joy and connectedness with others and Spirit. You do not have
to be an experienced drummer or even own a drum to participate. This
month’s drumming will be extra fun as we will be using two pow-wow
drums.
Held at: Changing Times Books & Gifts, 911 Village Blvd., Ste 806,
West Palm Beach, FL, 561-640-0496, info@...,

OF INTEREST TO ALL THREE COUNTIES
*** FRIDAY, JUNE 20TH ***
Tequesta Drum Circle (around a huge bonfire!) -
Spring Equinox and Full Moon Celebration
Every Solstice & Equinox - at the start of each season, 7pm-midnight, $5
entrance fee per adult (kids under 10 free if accompanied by an adult),
fee goes toward event costs (insurance, staffing - hiring park rangers
for the night, etc.).
* Includes: a roaring bonfire; a big (optional) potluck feast - if you
plan to partake, please bring a dish or drink that would be enough
for yourself; an Earth-centered ceremony to welcome in the season (at
about 9pm). Performers are very welcome - fire-dancers/spinners/breath-
ers will have a special area set aside and must show proof of insurance.
* "People of all life-affirming spiritual and philosophical paths are
invited to come together under the beautiful canopy of the sky, in a
preserved 'native Florida coastal habitat' It's an opportunity to
align our thoughts and energies with our own core of being, with the
seasonal shifts on our planet (Earth), with the energy effects of our
star (the Sun), and with the powers of the universe that form all
things (which you may call God/Goddess, Spirit, Nature, laws of evo-
lution, etc.). The Tequesta (tuh-kes-tuh) Drum Circle is named after
one of the ancient tribes who inhabited lands around SE Florida prior
to European and Seminole arrival - and gives us an opportunity to re-
member that legacy. Ceremonial dress is welcomed, but not required."
"This is a family-oriented celebration for those who hold the impor-
tance of our relationship to our home planet, the Earth. Come be a
part of the celebration, look up into the night sky, breathe, and re-
member our intrinsic connection to both planet and universe."
"Every 90 days or so our planet transits a key point on its journey
around our parent Star which shifts the balance of light entering into
our world. This light continually feeds a tremendously complex array
of living systems that have co-evolved for billions of years. The shift
creates a cascading ebb and flow of cycles in each hemisphere creating
what we know as Spring, Summer, Winter, and Fall, and inspires us to
observe these natural transits of our planet as Sacred Days."
* Photography: Please respect people. Do not take photos without permis-
sion! No random photography!
* NO drunkenness or intoxication. Moderate yourselves.
* Recycle. Bins will be provided.
* Information table available for folks wishing to distribute ecological,
holistic, or spiritually-inclined material.
* Publisher's note: This is one of the biggest and best drum circles in
our area. It only happens four times each year (at the changes of sea-
son - the solstices and equinoxes), bringing together drummers and danc-
ers from four counties for one big unified celebration. Don't miss it!
You don't have to be a good dancer or drummer - everyone is lovingly
welcomed and appreciated. You can drum (or play any percussion gadget
that you have), dance, or just watch and socialize.
* Hosted by Moon Path Circle, Inc., http://moonpathcircle.org/index.htm,

WELLNESS WEBSITE NEEDS QUOTES FROM DRUMMERS
I am building a wellness website...trance dance is included. Naturally
drumming has a huge part in it. I am looking for a few drummers to share
their drum journeys in a couple of lines that will be quoted. What if
feels like to drum, the connective or spiritual experiences in lifting
consciousness through resonance, about dancers and rhythm, etc...
Thanks

VOLUNTEER TO RUN KIRTAN CALENDAR
Seeking a volunteer to promote kirtan by any/all artists in South Florida.
Individual should be capable of learning to create an e-mail list and
maintaining a calendar that announces events. Individual does NOT need
to organize events, just distribute e-mails announcing them - approxi-
mately 3-4 hours per month. Rewards are intangible, but priceless.
Prior experience with Meetup.com, Yahoo Groups, or similar application
is helpful, but not required. Assitance in learing skills can be pro-
vided.

E. DRUM CIRCLE OPPORTUNITIES
*************************************************************************

some come only at the beginning of each season...
Some are indoors, some outdoors, some have bonfires, some are jam ses-
sions (African, Latin, Middle-Eastern, World beats), some are Native
American flavored, some are anarchistic and leaderless, some have clear
