SECTION 1: TONIGHT! INAUGURATION OF NEW WEDNESDAY SCHEDULE FOR THE
DELRAY BEACH DRUM CIRCLE - COME PARTY WITH US!

DELRAY BEACH WEEKLY DRUM CIRCLE - NEW NIGHT, NEW TIME, NEW PARKING LOTS

A. NEW NIGHT: WE PERMANENTLY MOVE TO WEDNESDAY NIGHT STARTING TONIGHT

Delray Beach Drum Circle - EVERY WEDNESDAY
Held at: Old School Square (in the grassy park in front of the stage),
north of Atlantic Ave. & just east of Swinton Blvd., Delray Beach FL,
8:30pm - midnight, free
This event happens rain or shine (if it's dry we're on the grass; if it
rains we go up on the stage till the rain stops). Plenty of free park-
ing in the parking lots west of the park.

Directions:
1. Take I-95 or the Florida Turnpike
2. Exit Atlantic Ave. east (in Delray Beach)
3. About 1 mile east of I-95 you'll approach Swinton Blvd. - stay in
the left lane.
4. Turn left onto Swinton Blvd.
5. Turn left into one of two parking lots:
a. Make the 1st left, just past Doc's All American Restaurant and
right into the public lot.
b. Or make the 2nd left, drive through a small office building park-
ing lot to the bigger public lot behind it.
6. In either case, walk back out the way you drove in, to the east,
cross Swinton Blvd. and go through the arched walkway into the park.

NEW ADVERTISED STARTING TIME

We've been advertising 8pm, but everyone comes at 8:30pm. So starting
tonight we'll honor the will of the people, and advertise 8:30pm as the
starting time.

NEW PARKING LOTS TO USE

They're tearing up the lot to the east, building a 4-level parking garage
during this next year. Fortunately, there are 2 little-known public park-
ing lots to the west, just on the other side of Swinton. Please see the
directions above.

Changing Times - Full Moon Eve Drum Circle
Changing Times Books and Gifts, Village Commons, 911 Village Blvd., Suite

"Come celebrate the full moon and the power of the drum as we come together
in sacred circle. Drumming is a wonderful way of connecting to one’s inner
self while at the same time creating a powerful group experience. Drumming
is one of mankind’s most ancient forms of self-discovery, entertainment, and
communication. Allowing oneself to open into the experience of drumming
oftentimes moves the mind past the conscious thinking level and into a sense
of joy and connectedness with others and Spirit. You do not have to be an
experienced drummer or even own a drum to participate."

Full Moon EVE! Drum Circle - Miami Beach
Monthly on the night BEFORE the full moon, on the beach, just east of 85th
St. and Collins Ave., Miami Beach FL, 9:30pm on weekends [or earlier, like
8pm, on weeknights] till midnight, free (except for possible parking costs).
Remember, it can be chilly on the beach during the cooler months - dress
accordingly.

*** FULL MOON - SATURDAY, MAY 13TH ***

*** PALM BEACH COUNTY ***

Full Moon Drum Circle - Lake Worth - Palm Beach County
Monthly on the full moon, on the beach, Lake Ave. at A1A, 1st lifeguard
station north of the Ocean Pier, Lake Worth FL, 8pm-midnight, free (ex-
cept for possible parking costs).
The beach closes at midnight. Remember, it can be chilly on the beach
during the cooler months - dress accordingly.
We move just across the parking lot in the park if the wind off the ocean
is too chilly). If it rains, we're under the big shelter in the park,
just across the parking lot from the beach.
Directions:
* From I-95:
- Southbound
1. Exit 10th Ave. east
2. Turn right (south) on Dixie Hwy (US1) or Federal Hwy.
3. Turn left (east) on Lake Ave.

- Northbound
1. Exit 6th Ave. east
2. Turn left (north) on Dixie Hwy (US1) or Federal Hwy.
3. Turn right (east) on Lake Ave.
See 4-9 below
* From the Florida Turnpike:
1. Exit Lake Worth Rd. east
2. Eventually it turns into Lake Ave.
3. See 4-9 below
* In every case:
4. Cross the Intercoastal Waterway going east
5. Cross A1A
6. Enter the park and bear right (the road makes a large circle)
7. Go all the way around the back, and just past the pier
8. Park by the 1st lifeguard station just north of the pier
9. Parking costs $1/hr. till midnight - pay at the central meter and
put the receipt on your dashboard

The Crystal Garden - Full Moon Drum Circle
As close to the full moon as possible while avoiding Sundays, The Crystal
Garden Book & Gift Store, 2610 N. Federal Hwy. (3 blocks north of Gateway
Blvd.), Boynton Beach FL, 7-9pm if it's a Friday or Saturday, 7:30-9:30pm
other nights.
$18 per person. Facilitated by Margaret Ann Lembo. Please call or e-mail
to register in advance so she can plan for what size group will be coming.
Bring your drum(s); or use the store's. "Experience sitting in circle in a
sacred way. Using sacred smudge blend to call in the directions, we will
clear away negative energy and thought forms. Drum away what ails and an-
noys you. Drum in love, light, and well-being to replace it all! To complete
the evening, you will have an opportunity to experience a meditative journey
into yourself, known as shamanic journeying, where you'll be guided into a
deep state of consciousness to have an encounter with a guide, power animal,
or to find an answer to your questions." Special note: The room does get

Full Moon Drum Circle - Ft. Lauderdale - Broward County
Monthly on the full moon, on the beach, South Ft. Lauderdale Beach Park,
Ft. Lauderdale FL, 8pm or moonrise (whichever is earlier) till 1am, free
(except for possible parking costs).

Established 1995. There's a 15-minute Pagan full moon ritual at 10pm.
Remember, it can be chilly on the beach during the cooler months - dress
accordingly.
Directions:
1. On A1A just north of the 17th St. Causeway, or 1.5 miles south of Las
Olas Blvd.
2. Park in the municipal lot (enter off A1A), toward the south end, $4
fee, closes 1am (you'll be ticketed after that).
3. Drum circle is on the beach just off the parking lot, near the volley-
ball courts, across from Bahia Mar, about a block north of the Yankee
Clipper Hotel complex. Since 1995.


*** MIAMI-DADE COUNTY ***

Full Moon Drum Circle - Miami Beach - Miami-Dade County
Monthly on the night of the full moon, on the beach, just east of 85th St.
and Collins Ave., Miami Beach FL, 9:30pm on weekends [or earlier, like 8pm,
on weeknights] till midnight, free (except for possible parking costs).
Remember, it can be chilly on the beach during the cooler months - dress
accordingly.

NOTE: Last month the police had to disperse this drum circle due to
problems with alcohol and rowdiness. Contact the organizer above to
see if the location has changed.

Full Moon Bonfire Drum Circle - Raleigh Hotel
Monthly on the night of the full moon, behind the Raleigh Hotel (just off
the beach, around the "Oasis" fire pit), 1775 Collins Ave., Miami Beach FL,
8pm, free.
The hotel staff wanders through the crowd taking food and drink orders
(which you must pay for). Spiritual artwork is projected on a big screen.
Sacred fire dancer (Amber) performs. Since 2004.

Review by an experienced local drummer: "You've got this listed as a regular
drum circle. It needs a little further description. I went yesterday - the
full moon in April 2006. It is on the hotel grounds and the atmosphere is
pleasant; but it's not an open drum circle where anyone can bring a drum and
play. There is a fire and dancers; but there are noise level issues so the
number and type of drummers has to be limited. They probably won't have any
problems if you bring your bongos; but leave the djembes and tumbas at home
for this one."
