Apologies - the first version of this, sent earlier tonight, was not easily readable due to the intrusion of some strange formatting symbols. Here it is again - cleaned up. Our huge computer issues have been solved - so this month we'll be back to our full publishing schedule for the SE Florida Drum Circle Newsletter: 1. The February Edition will come out in the next few days 2. The Full Moon Edition will come out next week (full Moon is Monday, February 9th) Thanks for your patience while we dealt with the demise of our main computer & our backup computer. What a month!
Please note:
There are some significant changes to our past invitations: 1. We're starting at 7pm (not 8pm). 2. We're having a DJ'd partner dance from 7-9pm. During those hours, for those not wanting to dance, there will also be a potluck dinner, musical performances, socializing, readings, etc. For the dance: no partner is needed (we'll be switching around). Bring comfortable dancing shoes (sandals and open-back shoes are not recommended - your feet can slip out and you'll hurt yourself). 3. We're asking everyone for a $5 contribution to cover expenses. Party supplies, food & beverages, candles, decorations for home & yard Recent additions: (1) new privacy fence across the back of the yard ($1200), (2) thou- sands of beautiful new 'tree lights' ($200), (3) new tiki torches ($50). Yard lighting for parking areas coming soon... 4 Great Events Rolled Into One! (Park Ln.) turn right - 1 block before Haverhill 6. Our house is on the NE corner of Belvedere Rd. & Park Ln. ('4855' on the mailbox). PARKING 1. The 1st 30 cars to arrive should park in our front & back yards (on the grass). If you know you're staying late, please pull forward & let someone park behind you. Please do not park on our paved driveway - leave that free for people to get on and off the grass (parking spaces). 2. After our yard is full, please park only on the east (right) side of Park Ln. - NOT blocking anyone's driveway (look carefully). First, drop off heavy objects (drums, food, etc.) in our driveway and then park down the street. 3. Once cars are parked a full block down Park Ln., we suggest that you park on the next street to the east of us - Concord Ave. Park on the (left) west side of Con- cord, on the grassy shoulder next to the street. You'll have a shorter walk than if you'd parked far down our street (Park Ln.), and your car will be safer (closer to a busy street, better lit). 4. Of course, when parking anywhere, be smart - don't leave valuables sitting in plain view - hide them. 5. Please don't pull into any neighbors' driveways or yards to turn around, espe- cially late at night when leaving. The activity, and bright lights, disturb and frighten them, and they complain to the City. To exit our neighborhood, don't turn around on Park Ln. - it's dark, narrow, and has deep drainage ditches along both side; just continue north on Park Ln. Two blocks down there's a street going left (west) to Haverhill Rd. (a main north/south road).
