Enjoy 4 Great Events Rolled Into One!
(1) BONFIRE TRIBAL DRUMMING & DANCING CIRCLE
Held outside - around the fire circle
• 9:00pm: Mini-drum lesson to get the drumming started with some togetherness
• 9:00pm-midnight: Community drum circle
(Out of respect for our neighbors we stop the outside noise at midnight - and
move the festivities inside.)
• DRUM JAM: GREAT LIVE RHYTHMS - African, Latin, Middle-Eastern, Native Amer-
ican, World, Tribal ... start any rhythm that you'd like the group to play.
• RADIANT DANCERS - bellydancers, free-form dancers, contact dancers, trance-dan-
cers. Enjoy a loving, appreciative atmosphere in which to let the rhythms move you!
• PERFORMERS - fire-spinners, poi-twirlers, fire-breathers - all are welcome!
• CELESTIAL CIRCLE - 8000 lights twinkling in the trees - a circle-of-light around us
• BRING - Something to sit on for the drum circle (chair, stool, blanket); your drums
• IN CASE OF RAIN - the drumming is moved indoors - THE PARTY CONTINUES!
(2) HOUSE PARTY & POTLUCK FEAST
Held inside the house: 7pm-1am (all night!)
• POTLUCK FEAST - bring something to share (main dish, dessert, beverage) if you
want to partake
• GREAT CONVERSATION - networking/satsang with conscious people
• SING-ALONG at the piano - oldies, folk, Broadway, rock, spiritual, pop - make
requests, bring music, play along on your own instrument

• PARTNER DANCING - on our wood dance floor (Latin, ballroom, swing, disco, tango)
No partner needed - we switch around
Please bring comfortable dancing shoes [not recommended are: (1) sandals & open-
back shoes - your feet can slip out and you could hurt yourself; (2) gripping rubber
soles - you'll try to spin but your shoes will resist & you'll hurt yourself].
• GREAT DJ'd MUSIC - music that won't let you stay seated
• 7:30pm MINI-LESSON to help you find your groove
(4) THE 'PARTY AFTER THE PARTY'
BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS, PERFORMANCES, JAM SESSION
Held inside, in the 'yoga room': midnight-1am
When the outdoor drum circle ends, the inside celebration begins!
• BIRTHDAY CELEBRATIONS - for anyone whose birthday falls near our party

atmosphere of these late-night celebrations is their favorite part of the evening!

PARKING
IMPORTANT NEW PARKING INSTRUCTIONS - PLEASE READ CAREFULLY!
1. The 1st 30 cars to arrive should park in our front & back yards (on the grass).
If you know you're staying late, please pull forward & let someone park behind you.
Please do not park in either driveway - leave that free for people to get in and out
of the parking spaces (on the grass).
2. After our yard is full, please DO NOT PARK ON OUR STREET (Park Ln.)
The neighbors have been complaining to the City. The street is not wide enough for
2-way traffic when cars are parked on the street. In order to continue having the
drum circle parties, we've promised the City the following parking changes:
3. First, drop off heavy objects (drums, food, etc.) by temporarily pulling into our wide
front driveway (marked with "loading zone" signs).
4. Then move your car out of the loading zone and park as follows:
a. 1st - park on both the east & west sides of Concord (the next street east of
Park Ln., running north off Belvedere Rd.) This area holds 30 cars.
b. 2nd - park on the south side of Charlotte (the 1st street intersecting Concord)
Don't park in front of the homes on the north side. This area holds 22 cars.
c. On both of these streets -
• Park on the wide grass shoulders - not on the pavement.
That way you won't impede 2-way traffic.
• Adjacent to the grass shoulders there are no homes to be bothered. Don't park
in front of homes.
• Please angle park (pull in nose first) - do not parallel park.
• You'll have a short walk to our home - often shorter than parking way down our
street (Park Ln.) as many people often have to. Plus the walk is safe & well-lit.
d. When both those streets are full, please park in the parking lot of the Abundant
Life Church on the SE corner of Belvedere Rd. and Haverhill Rd., one block
west of our street (Park Ln.), entrance on Belvedere Rd. Their parking spots are
mostly marked. Please honor their space - leave no trash, make no noise coming
or leaving.
5. Of course, when parking anywhere, be smart - don't leave valuables sitting in plain
view - hide them.
6. Please don't pull into any neighbors' driveways or yards to turn around, especially
late at night when leaving. The activity, and bright lights, disturb and frighten them,
and they complain to the City.
DRESS
Everything from casual to dress-up to fantasy is appropriate. For example, some women
wear shorts, some wear dresses, some wear 'goddess-outfits', some wear belly-dance or
other costumes. Dress in whatever makes you feel great & special!
CHILDREN
Children who are old enough to participate in an adult event are welcome. The event is
"adult-focused" - meaning there are no special arrangements for kids (no play area, toys,
child-care, etc.) and maybe not even other kids to 'hang out' with, so children should only
come if they can enjoy the adult activities, fit in, and not need special attention nor do
things that would interfere with other guests' enjoyment of the event.
We leave it up to parents to evaluate if their children would fit into and enjoy the atmo-
sphere. For children over about 12, there is generally no problem (although it is the par-
ent's responsibility to keep them away from any alcohol); for younger children please use
your own good judgment. Younger children should definitely not be left to wander unac-
companied - due to the big crush of people, fire-performers swinging fire, etc. And child-
ren should not be allowed to play any rhythm instrument during the drum circle until they
are old enough to listen to and play along with the group harmoniously (and on the beat!)
rather than just making fun sounds as younger kids do.
There will not be any 'adult' activities that would be considered inappropriate for children -
but keep in mind that the energy around a bonfire drum circle can be both intense and very
sensual (belly dancers, etc.).
PHOTOGRAPHY
Photography at this event is welcome, as long as you follow these guidelines:
1. If someone requests not to be photographed, please immediately honor their request.
2. Be discrete with flash photos around the drum circle - don't disrupt the atmosphere.
3. If you plan to post photos to the internet, please contact us (your hosts) to discuss
what info to include (or not) about the party and the individuals photographed.
4. As a courtesy, please e-mail copies of your better photos, full-sized, to us (your
hosts) with permission for us to use them for publicity.
