Note: Sunsport is a clothing-optional community, a family naturist resort
founded in 1965. Nudity is completely optional; most drummers/dancers re-
main clothed, but some nudity may be present; the atmosphere is very re-
spectful. In rainy weather, they drum inside a building next to the pool.
After the drum circle, you may use the pool, hottub, or sauna - please
bring a towel.

* From the south and east:
1. Take the Florida Turnpike or I-95 north
2. Exit Okeechobee Blvd. west (Turnpike exit #99; I-95 exit #70)
3. Go west 8.5 miles beyond the Turnpike
4. Drive through the town of Royal Palm Beach; then the road narrows to
two lanes and you're out in the countryside
5. Pass the fire station & E Rd. - turn right (north) on D Rd. (gravel)
6. Go 1.9 miles till D Rd. ends at a 'T' stop sign (North Rd.)
7. Turn right onto North Rd.
8. Make the first left turn (after 0.3 miles) into Sunsport Gardens
9. Pass through the security gate and continue down the entry road
10. Bear right at the 1st opportunity, pass the security shack on your
left, and bear right around the island
11. After the island, at the stop sign, turn right.
12. Go about 1/4 mile - the fire pit area (drum circle) will be on your
left, next to the pond.

2 Nights of Drumming on the Beach with Greywolf
Held at: South Ft. Lauderdale Beach Park (near the traditional full moon
drumming area), directly across from the Radisson Bahia Mar Beach Resort
9pm onward.
The Covenant of the Goddess is holding "MerryMeet 2006 - Annual Meeting
and Festival" at the Radisson Bahia Mar Hotel (for info, see:
http://emlc.net/mm2006/mminfo.htm). These two drum circles will be in
the evening, as an extension of that festival, and all drummers/dancers
from the community are warmly welcome!
Directions:
1. On A1A just north of the 17th St. Causeway, or 1/2 mile south of Las
Olas Blvd.
2. Park in the municipal lot (enter off A1A), toward the south end, $4
fee, closes 1am (you'll be ticketed after that).
3. The traditional full moon drum circle is on the beach just off the park-
ing lot, near the volleyball courts, across from Bahia Mar, about one
block north of the Yankee Clipper Hotel complex. Use that as a refer-
ence point - these drum circles will be nearby.

Creating Unity Through the Drum & Dance Circle

Fall Equinox Drum/Dance Circle (around a huge bonfire!)
Hugh Taylor Birch State Park, 3109 E. Sunrise Blvd., Ft. Lauderdale FL
8pm till 1am, $4 entrance fee goes toward the event (hiring the required
park rangers for the night) and to the park's support fund. If you can't
afford that, give what you can.
This is one of the biggest and best drum circles in our area. It only
happens four times each year (at the changes of season - the solstices
and equi- noxes), bringing together drummers and dancers from four coun-
ties for one big unified celebration. Don't miss it! You don't have to
be a good dancer or drummer - everyone is lovingly welcome and appreciated.
You can drum (or play any percussion gadget that you have), dance, or just
watch and socialize.
Includes: a roaring bonfire; a big (optional) potluck feast - bring uten-
sils, plates, etc.; an Earth-centered ritual to welcome in the season (at
about 10pm); performers are welcome (fire-dancers, belly dancers, etc.)

Bon Festival (with Taiko Drum Performances by Fushu Daiko)
5-9pm
Morikami Museum & Park, 2000 Morikami Park Rd., Delray Beach FL, 561-495-0233
Inspired by Obon, Japan's traditional three-day holiday honoring ancestors
and thanking them for the quality of life enjoyed by the living, The Morikami
celebrates Bon Festival in one fun-packed evening. Highlights include rousing
taiko drum performances, traditional Japanese folk dancing with audience par-
ticipation, and a street fair with games and vendor booths. The highlight of
the evening begins at sunset when Morikami Pond is transformed into a tranquil
sea of lighted lanterns which, in accordance with Japanese custom, guide the
departure of ancestors' souls who've come for a brief visit among the living.
A special fireworks display caps the enchanting evening.
Admission: $10 Adults (18 and over), $5 children (7-17), free for museum
members and children 6 and under. (No special senior discounts available).
Note: there are NO ATM machines on the Morikami grounds.
Food: There will be on-site food vendors serving a variety of food items. The
Morikami's own Cornell Cafe will also be open and serving Pan-Asian favorites.
Parking: on-site parking and shuttle service are provided FREE of charge.

Full of Moon - A Celebration of Light - Raleigh Hotel
Monthly - usually on the night of the full moon, behind the Raleigh Hotel
(just off the beach, at the Oasis Fire Circle), 1775 Collins Ave., South

"Creating an oasis from normal Miami Beach glitzy, material life - a ga-
thering of love, connection, spiritual depth. Featuring sacred fire dancer
Amber Joy Rava (http://www.roundaboutsparkle.net) who performs 4-5 times
throughout the night; she is excellent - very sensual, dramatic, deep! Also
includes tribal enchantment; mystic Indian sitar illuminations by Justin
Howel Moore; and live drumming to create a sacred space, and to accompany
Amber and any other dancers who want to express themselves, led by Grammy-
nominated professional drummer Michael Moses. You are welcome to bring
your drum, but this is not a traditional community drum circle.

The Crystal Garden - Full Moon Drum Circle
As close to the full moon as possible while avoiding Sundays, The Crystal
Garden Book & Gift Store, 2610 N. Federal Hwy. (3 blocks north of Gateway
