8. Park by the 1st lifeguard station just north of the pier
9. Parking costs $1/hr. till midnight - pay at the central meter
and put the receipt on your dashboard

The Crystal Garden - Full Moon Drum Circle (Thurs, Sept. 7th this month)
As close to the full moon as possible while avoiding Sundays, The Crystal
Garden Book & Gift Store, 2610 N. Federal Hwy. (3 blocks north of Gateway
Blvd.), Boynton Beach FL, 7-9pm if it's a Friday or Saturday, 7:30-9:30pm
other nights.
$18 per person. Facilitated by Margaret Ann Lembo. Please call or e-mail
to register in advance so she can plan for what size group will be coming.
Bring your drum(s); or use the store's. "Experience sitting in circle in a
sacred way. Using sacred smudge blend to call in the directions, we will
clear away negative energy and thought forms. Drum away what ails and an-
noys you. Drum in love, light, and well-being to replace it all! To com-
plete the evening, you will have an opportunity to experience a meditative
journey into yourself, known as shamanic journeying, where you'll be guided
into a deep state of consciousness to have an encounter with a guide, power
animal, or to find an answer to your questions." Special note: The room
does get smoky from the smudge blend at the beginning." Info: 561-369-2836,

BROWARD COUNTY

Full Moon Drum Circle - Ft. Lauderdale - Broward County
Monthly on the full moon, on the beach, South Ft. Lauderdale Beach Park,
Ft. Lauderdale FL, 8pm or moonrise (whichever is earlier) till 1am
(although recently the police have been shutting them down around
12:30am), free (except for possible parking costs)
Info: Debe Fisher 954-292-1581, Debe24@...,
http://www.hometown.aol.com/debe24/myhomepage/profile.html; Sophia
<sophialinus@...>, 954-984-4183
Established 1995. There's a 15-minute Pagan full moon ritual at 10pm.
Directions:
1. On A1A just north of the 17th St. Causeway, or 1/2 mile south of Las
Olas Blvd.
2. Park in the municipal lot (enter off A1A), toward the south end, $4
fee, closes 1am (you'll be ticketed after that).
3. Drum circle is on the beach just off the parking lot, near the volley-
ball courts, across from Bahia Mar, about a block north
of the Yankee Clipper Hotel complex.

MIAMI-DADE COUNTY

Full Moon Drum Circle - Miami Beach - Miami-Dade County
Monthly on the night of the full moon, on the beach in 3 different loca-
tions, each just east of Collins Ave. (A1A), on the beach, Miami Beach FL
1) 85th St., starts around 10pm - and continues till very late. Attracts
"partying youngsters", and some good drumming.
2) 75th St., starting time unknown, good drummers.
3) 22nd St., starts around 8:30pm - continues till midnight, be sure to
feed the parking meters. A smaller circle. Good drummers and beauti-
ful dancers. When this one ends, some people migrate to 85th St.
These are free, and loosely organized. 85th St. on the full moon night was
the unfied location for a while, but it was dispersed a couple of times by
the police due to rowdiness (alcohol/drug use?), so some drummers broke away
and started drumming on the full moon eve (the night before), and they even
tried a couple of different (less notorious) locations at 75th St. or 22nd
St. instead. Now, on both the full moon night and the full moon eve, you
may find drimmers/dancers at any or all of these three locations. The
situation is in flux.
Info: Mark R. Richards <bloodthump@...> tries to keep the info together.
