SUNSPORT GARDENS BONFIRE DRUM CIRCLE - SPECIAL EVENT!

Lots of good drummers and dancers are already planning to attend.
Come and join us for a great drum circle around a big fire.

According to the folks at Sunsport Gardens, this will be a very special
drum circle with 2 featured guests:

1. Maria Komie, will perform fire dancing (fire spinning) and fire
eating. She is also a bellydance performer and teacher. Don't
miss this beautiful and powerful performance.

2. Michael Cooney, Naturist Society lead photographer and reporter,
has traveled all the way from Wisconsin to document the drum circle
for N Magazine. (You will only be photographed with your permission.)

Note: Sunsport is a clothing-optional community, a family naturist resort
founded in 1965. Nudity is completely optional; most drummers/dancers
remain clothed, but some nudity may be present; the atmosphere is very
respectful. Weather permitting, drumming occurs around a big bonfire.
In rainy weather, they drum inside a building next to the pool. After
the drum circle, you may use the pool, hottub, or sauna - please bring
a towel.

Directions to 14125 North Road, Loxahatchee FL:

* From the south and east:
1. Take the Florida Turnpike or I-95 north
2. Exit Okeechobee Blvd. west (Turnpike exit #99; I-95 exit #70)
3. Go west 8.5 miles beyond the Turnpike
4. Drive through the town of Royal Palm Beach; then the road narrows
to two lanes and you're out in the countryside
5. Pass the fire station and E Road - then turn right (north) on
D Road (gravel)
6. Go 1.9 miles till D Rd. ends at a 'T' stop sign (North Rd.)
7. Turn right onto North Rd.
8. Make the first left turn (after 0.3 miles) into Sunsport Gardens
9. Follow instructions a-d below

* From the North:
1. Take I-95 south
2. Exit at Northlake Blvd. west
3. Go west 8.5 miles
4. Turn left at a traffic light onto Coconut Blvd.
5. Go 5 miles till the road ends at a 'T' (40th St.)
6. Turn right onto 40th St.
7. Go 1.5 miles
8. Jog left at 140th Ave. (look for the sign)
9. After a short distance, turn right into Sunsport Gardens
10. Follow instructions a-d below

* From the West:
1. Take SR 80 east
2. Turn left (north) at the traffic light at Seminole Pratt Whitney.
3. Go 1.5 miles
4. Turn right (east) on Okeechobee Blvd.
5. Turn left (north) on D Road (gravel)
6. Go 1.9 miles till D Rd. ends at a 'T' stop sign (North Rd.)
7. Turn right onto North Rd.
8. Make the first left turn (after 0.3 miles) into Sunsport Gardens
9. Follow instructions a-d below

* In all cases:
a. Pass through the security gate and continue down the entry road
b. Bear right at the 1st opportunity, pass the security shack on your
left, and bear right around the island
c. After the island, at the stop sign, turn right.
d. Go about 1/4 mile - the fire pit area (drum circle) will be on your
left, next to the pond.

*** SATURDAY, OCTOBER 21ST ***

9TH ANNUAL WITCHES BALL - AND - SAMHAIN SUN CELEBRATION CIRCLE

Witches Ball: 7:30-11:30pm, $15
Samhain Circle: 11:30pm onward, free

The public is invited to attend the Witches Ball and Samhain Circle
which will conform to, and celebrate, the Ancient Tradition. Coven mem-
bers, solitaries, the experienced, the seekers, and the curious are all
welcome. For both the Witches Ball and Samhain Circle, ritual garb and/
or costumes are encouraged. For the Witches Ball bring your favorite
beverage and snacks. Dance to DJd music that will be raucous and magickal,
or walk the outside lighted labyrinth, or bring lawn chairs to sit outside
under the stars. For the Samhain Circle, there will be drumming and a bon-
fire; bring your drums. You may also light candles for your departed loved
ones. Jewelry and food vendors as well as tarot/psychic readers will be
available for your pleasure. Donation of non-perishable food items and
clothing for the Cooperative Feeding Program of Broward County are welcome.

all. Come and uncover your innate rhythm using movement and sound from
the African Diaspora. Zomzi Satya Love will be our guide into a fabulously
fun dance experience to live drumming. We'll clap the rhythm, laugh the
rhythm, love the rhythm, smile the rhythm...we are the rhythm - one song

Zomzi Satya Love, known to friend's as Zi Love, began life singing and
dancing in South Florida's Mecca of diversity - Miami. She has studied
African Dance with teachers from Nigeria, Congo, and South Africa. In
1997, Zi spent a semester singing and dancing with the University of
CapeTown's Choir for Africa, touring southern Africa, London, and Norway.
After graduating from Princeton University's Program in Theater and Dance
(1998), she developed her own ecclectic fusion of traditional and modern
African rhythms using both free flowing choreography and improvisation to
open the body to universal flow. Zi currently resides in Palm Beach County
sharing her passion for movement through yoga, Pilates, aerobic fitness,
and world rhythms dance.
