I wanted to add that a remastered Stars & Garters is available as well.

AND IF YOU DON'T LIKE ITUNES, check out cdbaby - they are also selling
downloads of both. They are charging more, but their mp3s are always
DRM-free!
Cdbaby is a great site that only sells music from independent artists,
both cds & mp3s. The newly remastered versions of these two albums
are not available on cd, only as downloads.

Scott, I think you should replace the link for those songs/this album with a link to itunes to promote the Splashdown members. The reason you put the songs up...

I just copied this from their mp3 information page: "The MP3 audio files are very high quality, about 200kbps VBR, encoded using the "LAME" MP3 encoder on its...

iTunes is all 128 (as far as I know). I did download 50% from iTunes and CDBaby and there is an audible difference in sound quality, the version from cdbaby...

It's worth mentioning, the MP3s on my site are all at a bitrate of 192 kbps. I used to have 256, but those fFiles were needlessly large with very little...

I believe the SQ on cdbaby may have something to do with the VBR they use. I've done some blind tests on CD's I've ripped into iTunes using Apple Lossless for...

To Scott's point earlier about where the money is going, CDBaby has a 'for artists' section that goes over that. I think for sales on CDBaby, the band keeps...

Keep in mind that while iTunes sells songs at 128 kbps, they sell them in AAC format. AAC is generally considered to be a higher quality codec, allowing lower...

Seconded. While I love the idea of remastered tracks being available, I abhor iTunes and DRM-crippled MP3s. (Putting them on iTunes Plus is potentially an...
