So it would seem that perhaps it is time for a brief update on Strawman...
1. Dan is now a father. His baby daughter was born this past fall.
2. Shane is now a homeowner.
3. Mark is playing gigs again, with a three-piece group in Virginia called
Aggromatic,
which features Nick Tierra, a very brief member of Strawman, on guitar. You can
check
them out at http://www.Aggromatic.com
4. I am living in Los Angeles and have returned to my childhood roots in the
theater. I am
auditioning for anything and everything, and have so far appeared in two music
videos
(Fall Out Boy and the Robert Randolph Band), two spec commercials, and three
short films,
and next week I will start shooting my first feature-length film, a low-budget
screamer
called SAW BLADE. It will probably be pretty bad, but you gotta start somewhere.
In my
spare time, I'm bartending at a gay bar and learning how to surf.
5. I have edited a large amount of Strawman footage, primarily from our 2004
tour with
the Kottonmouth Kings. Once it is finished, some of it will appear on YouTube. I
will let
everyone know when that happens. In the meantime, some of our old music videos
are
already up on YouTube. Just search for "Strawman Floppy" and you'll find them.
6. We also (finally) have a page up on MySpace. If you're on that site, link to
us as your
friend. http://www.myspace.com/strawmanland
I hope everyone is well and enjoying life. I wish I could say that we were
planning a new
huge tour for you, but the reality is that this is unlikely. Certainly however,
you would be
the first to know if something like that were to take place. Thanks so much for
your
support in the past. We loved the time we spent with you all...
Cheers,
Floppy
