howdy mioi, thanks for posting our quiet list.
i like takako a lot, too. all i own of her is a vinyl copy of cloudy cloud
calculator.
i like most things japanese in general. i have viewed several classic
films recently, with a focus on the critically underpraised actress machiko
kyo ('floating weeds', 'teahouse of the august moon', 'princess yang kwei
fei', are the films i have seen of hers, but she made ninety, including the
famous 'rashomon') , also 'the go masters'; 'woman in the dunes'; and 'tokyo
story'. i really regret not having been able to go to last year's south by
southwest in austin, there was a large showing of japanese bands there. i
was so happy to get to see melt banana twice when they toured last fall.
about corin having a baby, would you like to provide some evidence? i
danced in front to the speaker bank the one time i saw sleater-kinney and
kind of lost my hearing last year, but i was of the impression that a man
could give corin an illness, but a baby? checking the s-k clubs on yahoo
(one of which you are a member and where i guess you got this information
from) and egroups, as well as running a detailed search on the net at large,
gave me no indication that this (what i consider to be a) rumour is currently
without merit. but, hey, if it is true, you can always say i told you so~
to our list members over there (in holland, and europe) it's been awful
quiet! please provide us gossip hungry 'mericans with some liesbeth
sightings, liesbeth n' robert having a fight rumours, geert caught in bed
with debbie gibson type stuff. <trying desperately to get miss solex herself
to make a peep on the list!
