The SynthModules group is dedicated to the discussion of the SynthModules analog synthesizer modules and products. Discussing how these work with other synth manufacturers modules such as Blacet, Wiard, Buchla, MOTM, Serge, Moog, PAiA, etc. is also permitted. SynthModules is also an Authorized Distributor of the SpeakJet chip and discussions regarding interfacing the SpeakJet chip with your PSIM-1 and/or your PC are also encouraged.
The PSIM-1 is the first module developed by SynthModules. The Programmable Synthesizer Interface Module (PSIM-1) is a unique module unlike anything ever available before for your analog modular synthesizer. It is fully compatible with Blacet, PAiA, and the Wiard 1200 series modules. The heart of this module is a powerful microcontroller that processes 100,000 instructions per second. It is programmed with your Windows based PC in a simple form of BASIC. There are four (4) programmable ANALOG INPUTS and four (4) programmable 1V/Octave ANALOG OUTPUTS! This module can be programmed to perform the function of MANY different modules. Sequencer, Event Generator, Frequency Divider/Multiplier, Sample & Hold, Quantizer, Delay, LFO, etc. all via voltage control! Even the Start and Stop buttons are voltage controlled and can be programmed to provide different functions.
Welcome to a new era of hybrid analog/digital synthesizer modules. Check out the PSIM series and take your analog synth to the next level.
