The Bruce Katz Special on Time After Island Time Radio

On this episode we welcome pianist, organist, and songwriter Mr.
Bruce Katz. Bruce Katz is the leader and front man for the Bruce Katz
Band. When not performing his own music he is the organist and
pianist with the band "Gregg Allman and Friends."

As a session player he has appeared on albums recorded by artists
ranging from John Hammond to the legendary Little Milton. Yet somehow
Mr. Katz finds time to teach piano, Hammond organ and music theory at
the Berklee College of Music in Boston. He also teaches the first
ever in-depth blues history class at the University. A credited class
which he created himself.

If you are a blues fan, this is the authentic stuff! His latest
album is called "A Deeper Blue," and in addition to hearing his own
music, you'll hear a good variety of real authentic blues music.

The Honeytribe Show with special guest Mr. Devon Allman

Devon Allman is the front man for the band Honeytribe. Honeytribe is
a band creating art outside of the mainstream music business. A band
for those who like what music is all about whose sound can be best
described as a premium blend of rock, blues, instrumentals, and even
reggae.

You could say Devon Allman has music in his blood. His father, the
legendary Gregg Allman of The Allman Brothers Band has called him "a
chip off of the old block." But Devon Allman's style is distinctly
his own. You'll enjoy Devon Allman's perspectives on the music
business, and the message he is trying to send to all who listen.

The Big House Museum Radio Presentation with Special Guest Mr. Kirk
West - Tour Manager and Photographer for The Allman Brothers Band

Kirk West may not have lived his life the way "everybody else" has,
but what he has gained from life has been tremendous experiences. As
a photographer he has shot covers for many bands (including the
Allman Brothers Band) and he has become the curator of the Big House
Museum in Macon, Georgia. The Big House Museum was home port for the
Allman Brothers Band back in the day, and it is a big piece of music
history.

In addition to a lot of GREAT music in this episode of Time After

Kip Attaway is one of the artists who is not so easy to categorize.
Some folks know him as an artist with a comedic side, for his songs
can be quite hysterical. While on the other hand, some of his songs
can be considered offensive to some. Primarily known with a cult
following for his comedy, many might overlook his tremendous
songwriting ability. You will not regret the chance to listen to all
of this man's music. From the wild and crazy to the serious and
pensive. He is not an artist you will forget. Join us for this look

Featured Guest: Original Coral Reefer Guitarist Roger Barlet. Part 1
of 2

On this episode of Time After Island Time we welcome songwriter and
guitarist Roger Bartlett. Roger Bartlett is the front man for the
band Hell's Kitchen, a solo artist, and he was also the first ever
member of Jimmy Buffett's Coral Reefer Band. Jimmy Buffett typically
performed solo, sometimes having Fingers Taylor sitting in
officially. In 1974, Buffett started his first official incarnation
of the Coral Reefer Band with 1 band member--Accompanying Buffett was
Roger Bartlett on guitar and background vocals. The next year,
Buffett also added Harry Dailey on bass, Philip Fajardo on drums, and
Fingers Taylor on harmonica and keyboards.

Bartlett discussed with us about the interesting journey that has
been his life. In addition to talking about the old days of the Coral
Reefer Band, he talks about his life in Manhattan, his songs which
have appeared in some unusual places including The Texas Chainsaw
Massacre, as well as his childhood in Louisiana, as the son of Ray
Bartlett, famed radio host of the show "Groovey Boy, The Boogie
Master." In addition to his work with Jimmy Buffett, you'll hear his
solo music and cuts from his band Hell's Kitchen.

JERRY JEFF WALKER: Gypsy Songman part 1 of 2.

It was a great honor to interview Mr. Jerry Jeff Walker, a
songwriting and performing legend. During this interview which was
recorded down in Key West (Jerry Jeff Walker was the man who brought
Jimmy Buffett to Key West) we discussed his early roots as a folk
artist, who he modeled himself after, the time he spends in Belize,
his favorite songwriters and the evils of t-shirt shops. Jerry Jeff
Walker gives an interesting and at times very witty and funny
interview. Jerry Jeff is the composer of many classic songs, songs
that have been covered by Harry Belafonte, Harry Nillson, the Nitty
Gritty Dirt Band, Sammy Davis Jr. and too many to list here... He is
an inspiration to musicians young and old ranging from folk, country,
rock, Americana and tropical. Don't miss this Time After Island Time

Time After Island Time Presents The Conclusion of the LuLu's at
Homeport Radio Special.

Mac McAleer and Lucy Buffett of LuLu's at Homeport in Gulf Shores,
Alabama return to Time After Island Time to talk about their life on
the gulf coast, their favorite Coral Reefers, the listening parties
for American Idol's Taylor Hicks, and their personal philosophies on
life. We have some very special music on this episode of Time After
Island Time, and we know you'll enjoy it. Despite all of the good
food, cold drinks and excellent music at Lulus something more
meaningful grabbed my eye, and I hope to be able to convey my
thoughts with you, the listeners. Something heartfelt, passed down
from the past to all of us. Please join us!

Mac McAleer and Lucy Buffett of LuLu's at Homeport in Gulf Shores,

Fell on Alabama tropical music festival recently. It was a beautiful
day, the kind you'd want to toast. LuLu's is the perfect place to get
a glass of tea, and a wonderful meal. But the best thing about LuLu's
is the ambiance. Watching the boats pass by, looking at the water,
hearing relaxing music and watching the kids play in the sand.
Whether you've been to LuLu's or not you won't want to miss this
radio special complete with songs from the musicians who play there,
including some from Lucy's brother Jimmy. Listening to this show is
pure escapism and a much needed part of your day. Join us!

TIME AFTER ISLAND TIME RADIO

Will Kimbrough is an in-demand guitarist and songwriter who has
performed with a number of artist's ranging from Todd Snider, Jimmy
Buffett to Rodney Crowell. Mr. Kimbrough was also voted
instrumentalist of the year for the Americana Music Association.

In addition to this he is a producer, having produced an exceptional
Grammy-nominated album for Adrienne Young. What really makes Will
Kimbrough standout is his wonderful songs. Having written with bands
like the Bisquits and Daddy, he has a number of solo albums and his
songs are very intellectual, yet manage to rock!

His songwriting has been recognized by many standards in the music
industry, including Jimmy Buffett who covered his song "Piece of
Work." Will Kimbrough also co-wrote a couple of songs with Jimmy for
Mr. Buffett's most recent album, including "Hula Girl at Heart,"
and "Party at the End of the World." We hope you enjoy an intimate
conversation with Will Kimbrough and a close look at his solo music,
as well as his work with other artists.

Time After Island Time Radio Presents - Ralph MacDonald: An American
Standard - Pt. 3

Produced by Paul Leslie and Jeff Pike

We welcome back the world's foremost precussion player, Ralph
MacDonald for the third and final part on this series. This episode
is the most important, as we get to really know Ralph MacDonald and
his philosophy. We talk about the inspiration behind some of his
songs and also about one that Jimmy Buffett sang on Club Trini Late
Night Live, "Come On In." Mr. MacDonald talks about what he likes to
do when not on the road, the importance of physical fitness, being
mindful of one's health and music's role as a language that everyone
can understand. Mr. MacDonald really opens up on this episode, in a
very serious way, but at other times light-hearted. Get a first-hand
look into not only Ralph MacDonald the songwriter, producer, and
performer, but also Ralph MacDonald the man. I learned a lot more
from Ralph, than about music.

Hear Ralph's solo music, his compositions he wrote as a youngster for
Harry Belafonte, and some covered by other musicians. Also hear a
rarer cut of Jimmy, Ralph and the Reefers jammin' at a rehearsal.

autobiography A Pirate Looks at Fifty), his current hobby of
photography, what he does on tour when he's not performing, some of

TIME AFTER ISLAND TIME PRESENTS THE GENE MITCHELL RADIO SPECIAL
Part 2

Gene Mitchell was born and raised in a harbor town on the coast of
Georgia where he began writing and performing music. He served our
country in the United States Navy for 21 years but continued his
songwriting and performing while serving his country. During his 21
years in the Navy Gene wrote and produced over 100 songs about
sailing and adventures in more than 30 countries he visited. Though
his music still maintains that southern style, his years in Hawaii,
the South Pacific and the Caribbean influenced his songwriting.

Gene has continued to write since becoming a full time musician and
has released even more high quality CDs. His albums feature such
artists as John Raymond (guitarist for Kenny G), Amy Lee (saxophonist
for Jimmy Buffett) and others.

There is a lot of talent in the island music world, and in our
opinion Gene Mitchell is the cream of the crop. Gene is a good
speaker and we hope you enjoy hearing him tell his story. And we hope
you enjoy his music!
