Hey all--
Here's an update for those of you participating in Donut Day (which is
tomorrow!)
All the schools we called said no. So we paired you all up as best as possible
(trying to put your assigned Metro station near the places you picked…trying
being the key word here) to sell at Metro stations. You’re allowed to switch,
but you all have to agree…don’t just show up at another Metro, because we’re
trying to avoid more than 9 people selling at one station. If you switch, TELL
ME ASAP.
Also, feel free to contact schools/other locations on your own. I realize that
some of you may have “connections” at your old elementary or middle schools, and
if you can sell there, then GREAT! Just be sure to let me know.
HEY!: It would be really awesome if we could get people (looking mostly for
groups of driving upperclassmen here) to go to some Maryland or even DC Metro
stations to sell there. Selling in Maryland or DC will earn you 1 – 2 extra
service points!!!
There are reasons why there are some locations with only one group, which is
that those groups are big/may have extra people…so PLEASE don’t randomly show up
a Metro station with only one group listed.
EVERY GROUP MUST HAVE A CELL PHONE WITH THEM. Kristin needs to have the number
BEFORE YOU LEAVE (be ready to give it to her at checkout). The cell phone must
be on at all times in case you need to be reached.
As was announced last week, ALL GROUPS MUST HAVE A DRIVER WITH THEM. This is so
that if the Metro station threatens to call the police if you don’t get off
their property RIGHT NOW, you can actually leave and not get arrested. If you
have a problem like this, obviously you’d call me at TJ and let me know if
you’re returning to TJ or going somewhere else.
Attached is the Guide to Donut Day, which was distributed at the TJMC practice
on Friday night.
If you are unable to open the attachment, e-mail me back TODAY before 10PM.
Don't forget, BAND COUNCIL WILL PROVIDE CHANGE ($10 in quarters) for EVERY
GROUP.
Also, please bring PLASTIC GROCERY BAGS to hand out if someone buys more than 2
dozen donuts (it's easier to carry them in a bag).
Also attached is the list of who is selling where as of now. If changes need to
be made, call and let me know.
It has been brought to my attention that some Metro stations require parking
passes. If your Metro station requires this pass, have the driver drop the rest
of the group off, and then park elsewhere. I apologize for this late notice,
but I only learned of this last night.
Please feel free to call me with any questions or concerns at 703-827-8556.
See you all bright and early at 5:45AM tomorrow in the band room (+1 point for
coming that early)!
