Dear TJ Band Students,
As you may or may not know by now, the TJHSST band program will be holding its annual "Virtual Tag Day" in the beginning of May. For those of you not familiar with this event, it is the annual fundraiser in which the band requests donations from TJ families and alumni. Because TJ doesn't have a defined local district, the TJ Band Tag Day is done as a mail campaign, rather than the traditional door-to-door fundraising done by other area high school bands. Tag Day is the main fundraiser for many of the area high school bands. It is requested by the TJ Band Boosters that
each band family submit a list of at least 10 names and addresses of family, friends, and/or local businesses you patronize (your doctor's offices, etc.) where our Tag Day letter can be sent. Your help will lead to a great fundraising effort that will, in turn, help us on our path to becoming an excellent band program.
Please send a list of ten names and addresses to tjtagday@... following the format below. Note that even if you can not come up with ten names and addresses, any address can help! These addresses are due by
11:59 PM, April 23. Additionally, there will be an opportunity to earn service hours on April 28th by stuffing envelopes during 8th period.
