TJMC medical forms now due Thursday, July 26 – Remember to ask your parents to complete and return the medical forms along with the other TJMC forms and second payment. Turn them in at this Thursday’s rehearsal. 

 

TJHSST Alternate Transportation Form posted – This form must be completed and submitted in advance if you will be using an alternate means of transportation home, rather than the band bus. Your parents can find the form on the TJbandboosters Yahoo group “Files” section under “Forms”. The Files section is a great place to find forms and other things they might need during the year.

Student credit process – Students can earn credits which can be applied to various band program expenses, such as fees, trips, and banquets. The amount of the student credit per item sold increases as students accumulate more fundraiser sales. Once a student reaches a total of 25 items sold (combined sale of items from various fundraisers), the student moves from earning $.50 per item to $1.00 per additional item. Some examples of items included are: greens, pies, license plates, ornaments, sweatshirts, citrus, and gift wrap. In addition to these fundraisers that are combined for credits per item, students can earn 1% of the dollar amount of scrip (gift cards) sold.

Student credits can really add up if you sell some of each of the Booster fundraiser items. These fundraisers are our primary source of revenue. Address questions about credits to Mrs. Lineer, the Band Boosters Receipts Treasurer, at Lineer@... .

TJ Band Yahoo groups – There are two Yahoo groups used to communicate to TJ band families and students.

1. The tjbandboosters Yahoo group is geared toward band parents, Band Booster supporters, and alumni. Please encourage your parents to sign up for this group to receive current band information. Parents should subscribe by sending an e-mail to tjbandboosters-subscribe@yahoogroups.com; it is helpful if they provide your name and grade in the message, so we can confirm that they have joined the group.

2. The TJMCDM Yahoo group is geared toward the TJMC students and other band students. If you know any TJ band student (perhaps someone new to band) who is not on the group, encourage them to subscribe by sending a message to TJMCDM-subscribe@yahoogroups.com and including their name and grade.

Other communications vehicles – Watch for information posted on the band room’s bulletin board. Also, flyers and pocket envelopes for distributing and collecting forms are often posted outside the band room, in the band hallway. Check frequently to see what is posted there. Often you may be returning completed forms to this location.
