Hey everybody,

We’re going to try and do Funco this year! Every year (except last
year) the band has partnered with the Fun Company for a fundraiser. It’s a
lot of fun -- it’s a carnival/picnic for a company, and we help out by
staffing booths and games, serving food and drinks, running a raffle or
bingo, and so on. In return, Funco donates money to the band program. This
year, however, there are two important differences:

1) Everybody is invited to participate. This includes curricular students,
marchers, and winter drumline and guard participants. Anybody in the band
program is invited!
2) This year the event will be in June. Specifically:

Saturday, June 21st:

Setup 1 pm-4 pm. At least 16 people needed.

Sunday, June 22nd:

Event 12 PM-6 PM. We need at least 54 people!!
Clean-up 6 pm-7:30 pm. At least 16 people needed.

We need parents as well students! Any help is much appreciated.

The event will take place at Bolling Air Force Base, in Washington DC. We’ll
have directions later. For interested parents, we’ll also try to set up a
car pool from TJ to the event and back.

This is a great opportunity to have fun, meet other band students
(especially for Class of 2007 students!), and get band letter points or NHS
service hours. Please e-mail me back (EagleCHJ5@...) ASAP regarding
when you can help out or if you have any questions about the event or
transportation. There will also be a signup sheet posted in the band room on
