it's been a while since my last email, and since today is patty duke's birthday, i figured i'd use that as my excuse for buggin' ya this time.

there's been some moving going on at TQR&R, so there's haven't been as many updates to the web site as their should be. here are a few things in the works that are almost as exciting as Patty Duke's Birthday!....

1. ------------ PDFZ #4: Patty's Favorite Boy Bands ------------

two out of the four boy bands participating in the next PDFZ have their songs in, and we're hoping for an early 2002 release date. it will feature...

        delta waves (from detroit)

        w-vibe (also from detroit)

        panixville (from chicago)

        mark robinson (yes! you read right! THE mark robinson from Teen Beat!!!)

2. ------------ The Hissyfits ------------

they have a new line up, are getting lots of press (can you name another bands who's been in everything from Maximumrocknroll to 17 Magazine to Postcard Collector? --- i didn't think so!)

if you do a zine or write for a publication/web site/whatever and would like to interview them, send 'em an email!

also, for those of you in nyc, they're playin' a gig:

Plus!...Radio 4, The Realistics, and Team USA!
Next Saturday 12/22 at Brownie's (Ave. A. b/w 10th & 11th).
We go on at 10pm sharp, but get there early for Team USA,

3. ------------ Delta Waves cd ------------

the official release date is Valentine's Day 2002, but you can get one right now from TQR&R or Stormy Records!

The Delta Waves Dream In Real Time is split label release TQR&R did with Burnt Hair Records.

4. ------------ the Birthday Machine 7" ------------

this is the new band Miko from Gaze is fronting.

also features Stefan from The Beans.

should be out early next year...
