The Birthday Machine 7"!!! New release!   Message List
Reply | Forward Message #8 of 19 |
TQR&R's latest release is a lovely, quaint 7" record by The Birthday Machine.

For fans of Ida, Bedhead, Versus and charming indie rawk...

Available for download at http://topqualityrockandroll.com : an mp3 of a demo recording from the record, and press info such as high res. band photos, 7" cover art, and drawings...

The release date is October 30, 2002, but the record is currently available only through Top Quality Rock & Roll (http://topqualityrockandroll.com ) and Stormy Records (http://www.stormyrecords.com). Limited green vinyl pressings available only through TQR&R and Stormy while supplies last...

The Birthday Machine live in Vancouver, Canada. They met each other on the street because they
were attracted to each other's good looks. The band was formed in 1999 or so. They have a history
of baking cakes together and having group hugs. They sound like Ida or Bedhead or Versus, if you
insist on an indie-rock comparison, but more often, they sound like their current or former bands
Gaze, The Beans, and The Secret Three. They do not sound like The Melvins, Daft Punk, or Sleater-
Kinney, although some of The Birthday Machine's members will attest to enjoying those bands.
This is The Birthday Machine's first 7". We hope that you like it.

Miko Hoffman, guitar, vocals; Stefan Udell, guitar, vocals; Brady Cranfield, drums; Scott Malin, bass; Christa Min, guitar, keyboards
