It is odd that grown men could be so enthralled by a Mexican
childrens-show host. However, Tatiana is much more. In the first
place, she began her career as a popular singer in Mexico as a young
teenager. she achieved an impressive collection of gold and platinum
awards. Her music was highly influenced by American pop, and can be
most easily described as Madonna with more Soul and Latin Fire. She
then appeared on Mexican television in ten minute "capsules" that
were the precursors to her El Espacio de Tatiana that now appears on
Univision in the United States on Sunday Mornings. She is acted in a
number of films. Without gushing, her charisma and talent are
genuinely compelling. Completely professional, her "children's"
albums" are great music. Highly entertaining, they fulfill the maxim
of good music in that they convey emotion well and leave the listener
moved. The fact that they are in Spanish is irrelevant. My tastes
normally run more towards groups like AC/DC, but Tatiana is perfect
for moments when a positive lift is needed. Of course it helps that
she is sexy in a wholesome way not found in American culture perhaps
since Doris Day. If I sound hooked, you
are right, I suggest you check her out for just a few shows, and you
