I agree with your comments. Sometimes my fingers go off on auto-pilot
before my mind gets there in sync with them. I definitely need to
master the art of articulation and introducing breathers and stops.
As far as the intonation, you're right. I start out with a tuned
guitar, but after a few string bends (I bend pretty high) and whammy
bar movements, I lose a bit of the tuning in some of my strings.

I've played for 12 years now, most of which I spent practicing speed
and licks because that's what started my passion for guitar. I'm at a
point where I need to get beyond that.

I only have 1 year of formal classical guitar training. The rest is
my own personal effort.
