Smaall dings in the finish can often be touched up with a "super glue drop fill." Takes a bit of skill and experience, but this might be the guitar to practice on!

And your other high-action guitar might just need a truss rod adjustment or a lower bridge saddle. Do saome Googling, ask questions here, and soon you'll be on the cover of "American Lutherie."

Subject: [TGC] I nicked my guitar!

My guitar is only a $100 Epiphone acoustic, but it's
my baby. This morning, I bumped it against a table and
gave it a small nick. No hole, but I'm quite paranoid
about the dent. What should I do about it?

I'd play my other acoustic, but the strings appear to
be set too high. Makes fingering some chords a real
nightmare. Can that be repaired?
