Very astute!! there aren't too many people who would think that
way. Yes.....a good set-up in indeed the first step to gtreat
tone!!!
Actually,I spent a year as an luthier's apprentice....and
although I probably would be doing guitarists everywhere a great
service by staying O U T of the business,I did manage to learn just
enough to maintain my own instruments without getting into too much
trouble.
One of the things I learned was how to do an ultra-
superb, personalized set-up. All my guitars go thru a thorough
inspectiion every month. Of course the ones that get taken out a lot
are under constant inspection.
So....they are all in perfect intonation , with just the right
amount of relief around the 8th to 10th fret, and have a compound
radius fret dress in a triangle starting at the 12th fret.
So,my dilemma is ,at this point, electronic, all my instruments are
set up to "sing".
Any other input out there????

> No genius on sound myself but it sounds like the intonation needs
fixing I don't think it will cost too much as it happened with my
Jackson . It made funny buzzing sounds. Thedeedge1 hope you can get
it fixed. Anyway I hope that everyone is good in the States.
Regards Matt.
