I enjoyed seeing The Curse again last Saturday at the Anaheim HOB. I
didn't decide until the day before to get a ticket, but I'm glad I went.
Seems like there have been a couple lineup changes since the last time I
saw them, but the band sounded great. The lighting was good and the crowd
enthusiasm eventually built up.
One suggestion I'd make is that when you are not the headliner that you
stick more to the hits as the audience seemed apathetic during the first 10
minutes (first two obscure songs). I would guess many in the packed
audience were there mostly to see the headliner.
I bet songs like "Love Cats", "Why Can't I Be You?", "In Between Days" and
"Hot Hot Hot" would have been better received. Even "Killing An Arab",
which could have been controversial and extremely timely, might have been
more familiar.
All in all, I had a very good time. I left after you were done since I am
not a fan of the music of the other band.
Hope to see more Curse in 2007,
