I would have to say that David's performance of "Lens Cap" at the
Victor Harbour Folk festival, was a memorable and fantasic one. It
is also my favourite song on the Corners CD. At the festival, after
his performance, I just had to go up to him and say Hi, and well
just wanted to hang out, along with some other fantastic women
from South Australia, one of whom had a great story to tell about
why she loved the lens cap song. It was a very long story and I
wont repeat here, but David might remember it. It had something
to do with being a photographer in the Daintree rainforests of
Australia.
All of David's CDs are great, but I really love the very last track on
Corners, is it called shadows? The beautiful harmonics from your
guitar - is that possible? My friends who hear it think there must
be more than one guitar - amazing stuff.
My neighbours are getting a bit sick of hearing me play Corners too
loud - so I hope you can send me this new track - I have access to
a burner if you need help.
