Too funny! ;-)
Thanks for sharing that, Terri. Alladin just had a significant jump in it's
population, methinks. The boots are still holding up well, though I didn't
bring them here to New Zealand.
I spent the weekend kicking off my tour here by playing the Auckland Folk
Festival, the biggest folk fest in NZ. It was heady stuff being the main
featured performer there, among so many talented performers and attenders.
Actually, I think I found that intimidating enough that I sort of blew my first
set of two songs at the introductory concert on the first night, but the weekend
went progressively better from then on, and I felt like I had a whole huge new
family by the end of the time there.
Significantly, I made it through the transition from winter to summer pretty
smoothly, and managed to spend the weekend at a hot outdoor festival without
getting fried to a crisp. More significantly, I picked up my rental car for the
tour today, and managed to drive through Auckland without any major damage to
life or property.
I'll put up some stories and pictures on the site soon, though I'm having a bit
of technical hassle now, and can only check email on other people's computers.
I'll work it out and let you know when the new stuff's there.
I hope all of you are doing well.
Arohanui (big love),
David
