hey guys,

After seeing the great show friday night and talking with David about music, bands, and this list, we decided it would be cool for me to send a short weekly report...  Mainly with tour dates, but also with news, gossip, views on songs, ESPECIALLY views on the new cd, etc.  The idea in turn is to get more people discussing the music of David LaMotte.  We have 47 people on this list and it could be a great discussion for us and David...(it doesn't have to all be positive) He knows my view on roots rock and so we joke about him putting electric guitars on folk albums.  Maybe we could start with that - He said friday night some songs (De Las Louisiane for one) will be very bare and others will have big instrumentation, even a horn section on one. 

Also, we can be critical of shows, Friday was a great performance, but I felt the crowd (even though large) was not into it - no big chorus on New Lullaby.  Anyway, we want this to be interactive for everyones benefit.
