The vocal soloists in these remarkable private recordings, which have been made available by William H. Scheide, the Founder and first Director of the Bach Aria Group, include Marian Anderson, Erna Berger, Eileen Farrell, Norman Farrow, Mack Harrell, George London, Elaina Nikolaidi, Jan Peerce, Carol Smith, Blanche Thebom, Jennie Tourel, and William Warfield. In many cases, these artists are heard in repertory that they never recorded or sang again in public.
Meetings of the Vocal Record Collectors' Society are open to non-members. A contribution to the VRCS from non-members is welcome, but not mandatory.
