Cool.
Is the Carousel Lounge the Carousel Room? I'll be at both (Tuesday and
Wednesday) either way.
Anybody else on the list making it to ATX next week?
Roger, good luck with the recording tonight. I feel like hell right now and
can't make the drive down...I suck.

Hope that settles any confusion
Roger
The website says 3/28 at the Cactus Cafe which is Tuesday and 3/29 at the
Carousel Room. Is that the same thing as the Carousel Lounge? If so,
that's a cool circus themed bar on E. 52nd St. I'll try to mobilize some
troops to come up for the show.
Please confirm. Thanks, y'all.

Roger, I too am interested to know if you will be in Cobalt this year. Saw
Fred, Willie and Corrie at St. Jacobs a few weeks ago. New bass sounds good. It
would be good to see you, if you can work it in. How's Hayes doing? Don't forget
to bring your steel, if you can make it.

Seems like I am talking to myself here, but that is ok, I do that all
the time anyway.
Roger and the band are playing in Austin at the Cactus Cafe, I have
seen Ray Wylie Hubbard on that thar stage. Big boots to fill my boy
Rog, but Geo, Joe, Susan and I will be front row center stage.
Hi Roger and Lee. It is Bob from Northern Ontario,
sort af. The angry old guy with the beard. Nothing but
good thoughts guys. Hope to see you somewhere down the
road or up here next year Lee. It's about the music
not the fist. Keep singing and writing guys.
A friend,
Bob

Hey all,
Season's Greetings/Happy Holidays/Whatever's Not An Offensive Way
To Not Say "Merry Christmas" And Offend People.
Ah, screw it.
Merry Christmas. Happy Chanukah. Krazy Kwanza. Solemn and dignified
Ramadan.
The religious connotations of this time of year haven't
mattered much to me since I've gotten older.
What matters now is that it's about the only excuse left to get a
bunch of family people together and eat too much food.
All the best,
~Phil
You are right it is funny. Funny is as funny does.

band playing traditional carols...please feel free to sing along. And don't

will be lit at 1.00pm.. Exchange of gifts among employees can be done at

We recognize that Chanukah is an important holiday, which often coincides
with Christmas, though unfortunately not this year. However, from now on
we're calling it our 'Holiday Party'.. The same policy applies to any other
employees who are not Christians. There will be no Christmas tree or
Christmas carols sung. We will have other types of music for your
enjoyment. Happy now?

What a diverse group we are! I had no idea that December 20th begins the
Muslim holy month of Ramadan, which forbids eating and drinking during
daylight hours. There goes the party! Seriously, we can appreciate how a
luncheon at this time of year does not accommodate our Muslim employees'
beliefs, perhaps the Grill House can hold off on serving your meal until the
end of the party - or else package everything up for you to take home in a
little foil doggy bag. Will that work? Meanwhile, I've arranged for members

Hey all,
Posted a bunch of tour photos. I might have to re-post them to get
the order right though, the yahoo photo arranging program seems to
deny my existence.
Next time I'll do my best to grab some more pictures of all the
people we met, even I get bored just looking at the marquee photos.
That was torrented and over a few weeks ago...only a few people got on
and grabbed it. Open a window and I'll start seeding it again. Good
luck.

Subject: [TheRogerMarinList] The tour is over...
Heyo,
Well, my first "North American Tour" with Roger (as it was
recently dubbed by a local radio friend) is over. What a hell of a
time I had, can't wait to do it all again. With less days off
though. Sitting around in a garage going stir-crazy ain't fun.
Thank you to everyone who came out and helped us out, and
especially to Mark and Joy Jungers, who opened up their home and let
us stay for longer than I would ever keep one houseguest, nevermind
four. Thank you so very much. Thanks also to Donnie in Beaumont, Tim
in Dallas and Gene (Jean?) in Ithaca for putting us up a night each
and making sure we survived.
Here's to many more trips down South, where (as Mr. Prine
says) "the people say y'all," where my beer is Shiner Bock instead
of Molson, the weather is amazing in November, where people in bars
actually listen to music, where BBQ means BAAADASS BBQ!
Cheers y'all, eh!
~Phil

Interesting Roger news. I've already e-mailed Aaron. I'll send them to you when
I get them.
Phil was so right about Mark & Joy Jungers and Donnie - I enjoyed hanging with
Mark & Joy so much when he played at Edgars a couple times. Damn, I miss those
days...

The Triple Crown and Gruene shows were just super.
If anybody wants copies of those shows (Triple Crown = 1 disc, Gruene
= 3 discs and includes Mark Jungers' sets), I'd be glad to distribute
to the group. Hit me off list and let me know if yer interested.
Cheers....

Hey, is anybody from the New Braunfels / San Marcos area headed out to
Moulton tonight to see Mark and Roger? I'm thinking about checking it
out and was looking to see if anyone wanted to share a ride. I can
drive, but could use some company. If so, give me a shout at 210-317-
7504.

Sorry, I missed the whole sarcasm bit, but you're right, it doesnt;
carry well over the internet. I was really sort of shocked that anyone
would ask a question like that, but you never know. anyway, no harm,
no foul........big fan of Roger and BJS.

Well, I MIGHT know where a few of the upcoming dates are. :-) Besides
Moulton, Roger's doing a solo/song swap thing at Casbeer's in San
Antonio on the 23rd (Wed), we're somewhere in Waco the 24th, and then
at Dan's Silver Leaf in Denton the 25th, opening for Slaid Cleaves.
And that will be it for the Texas shows. One or two in Arkansas, then
Cleveland, then home. Thanks to everyone for showing us an abso-fucking-
lutely great time in Texas, and I can't wait to come back in March!
