In March, after Roky's Ice Cream Social, I waited until Roky finished signing
all of the fan's items. Then John Ike, his wife, my son and I went to the small
room at the back of the Gibson Bus to visit with Roky.

Soon we were joined by Sky and his wife. Counting Dana and one other person who
was sitting next to Roky, there was now nine people in a space designed to
accomodate about four. Needless to say, I got a very close up look at Sky. He
was animated, upbeat, very thin, his face was also thin and rather haggard
looking, but he looked very cool in his colorful clothes and longish hair. I
remarked to my son that his clothes would look silly on most people, but on Sky,
they fit him and his demeanor perfectly.

Sky was asking Roky if he would join up with him in a band. He said how good
his new backing band was and that it would be cool to have the "two psychedelic
icons" in the same band to make some great psychedelic music together. He was
sincere and looking Roky in the eyes. Roky said "Yea man, sounds great". His
tone of voice, however, was more like "nice to see ya' thanks for dropping by".
So the meeting ended amicably and that was that.
