MISSION: To produce and perform a travelling show of new music and art promoting peace and power to change. Our goal is to encourage personal responsibility in political choices, and to inspire dialogue, debate, among people from all parts of the country (namely the Midwest, West, and South) and especially among youth. For this to be successful, it is important that all those involved are able to learn from the people we perform for, and to get a better understanding about their point of view. TIMELINE: 3/2005-10/2005: planning, brainstorming, networking, creating materials. 10/16/2005: Innaugural "KatRita Konzert," 8:30 PM, Boston 11/2005-5/2008: Refining our plan. 6/2008-7/2008: rehearsing and preparing in a centralized location 8/2008: performing the show across the country CHALLENGES: To build up greater support for new music and the arts in more remote regions of the country. *Reaching out to those with a more narrowminded mentality- or those who are more apathetic, without making them feel alienated or attacked. *Practicalities- attaining sufficient financial support, finding venues, advertising, ample press coverage.
