...but I am sure I don't have to tell all of you in the Great NW
that. LOL Well, since my email of earlier today, it has been a case
of "when it rains, it pours" as well. I have been quite busy(and I
never even left the computer or the phone)trying to track down info
and keep everyone up to date and informed. Plans are being made and
things are being added which brings me to the point of this email. As
I have always said, this can be a very crazy business and today has
proved it in spades. I started the day with 3 definite shows and no
definite info, and without getting any closer to definite info on
those, I have 2 more to tell you about. Strangely, I have all the
info for the later additions but still nothing new to report on the
earlier announced shows. I shouldn't complain, it's a great job if
you can get it, and I do it all for the love of a good musician, a
great candidate and great fans! It's worth the sacrifice. Anyway,
onto the NEW news. 2 more performances to announce on TR's Oregon
itinerary with Presidential candidate Dennis Kucinich. Here we go:

moment:

All of the above 5 shows will be SOLO ACOUSTIC performances.
Please come out and show your support for TR and also for Dennis
Kucinich. Hopefully, all of you have had a chance to check out
Kucinich's website to see if he might be a candidate for you. If not,
please take a minute and visit his website and see if you might like
to throw your support behind someone who TR and myself consider an
amazing candidate and the only real choice for the job of President.

On a side note, I had the good fortune to speak with Mike Sokolowski
today and he informs me that the new OFFERING CD should be back from
the pressing plant in a matter of days, either April 27th or May 4th.
So start checking his website, www.breezewayrecords.com for more
information about purchasing the new CD which features TR on guitar
and other various and sundry instruments. Mike sees this new CD as
the first in a series of "BreezewayArchives" releases featuring
mostly 2 track live recordings. Mike also said that Greg Howard did
an outstanding job mastering The Offering live show captured at The
Knitting Factory in NYC. He said it just sounds amazing. He also said
you can expect his new Soko album very shortly. He has 3 more songs
to finish and he is done. He says this album is quite a departure for
him and every song is very different. In case you forgot, he has been
working with Houston Ross from the TR Puke Matrix and TR3 periods.
Mike says the new CD will come as quite a shock to the system for
those who became accustomed to the sound of the trio he had with
Houston and Johnny Gilmore, also of TR3 and Puke Matrix fame. Mike
has some shows coming up all over so I thought given this moment to
discuss his TRelated project I would also let you guys know about HIS
upcoming shows.

Sunday, May 30, Sound Shift, Big Sur Experimantal Festival
Henry Miller Library, Big Sur, CA
violin, effects -- Mike goes from at 12:10 -12:50 Sunday
Some very interesting musicians in his time orbit (see explanation
below). The website has the flow chart of musicians. Musicians were
grouped by the composers who organized the event with sounds,
textures and the overall arc of the music in mind.
Approximately 100 musicians from the San Francisco Bay Area and the
rest of North America (and beyond) will be placed in overlapping
shifts, often with people they've never played with before. The group
sizes range from 3 to 30, with an average of 4-5 musicians performing
at any given time. With at least one personnel switch every 10
minutes, the audience will be treated to the equivalent of 96
different ensembles over the course of two 8-hour "pieces". This will
be a benefit for the Henry Miller Memorial Library. Read the rest
here:

I am no rocket scientist, but that last one sounds kewl as hell and
if you are anywhere near Big Sur I would attend that last one
definitely. Don't miss what sounds like a kewl, once-in-a-lifetime,
improvisational experience.
Well that's all for now. More info about the other 3 shows will
follow very soon so keep watching as as always..............
