time.

1963 After complaining, to no avail, that the go-go dancers
surrounding him on stage are distracting him, Dion walks off stage
during a live taping of his performance for the British television
show "Ready, Steady, Go" in London.

1963 The Beach Boys' "Be True To Your School" is released.

1967 The Move is sued by British Prime Minister Harold Wilson over

(just a month after its release), the Moody Blues' A Question of
Balance, Neil Young's After the Goldrush, and Jimi Hendrix and Otis
Redding's Live at Monterey.

1974 George Harrison begins his first tour in eight years and
makes his first onstage appearance since the Bangla Desh concerts
three years ago, in Vancouver, Washington. It will be a troublesome
tour for him as his voice is ravaged after LP sessions and tour
rehearsals.

1974 George Harrison opens his first solo tour at the Forum in Los
Angeles. He is the first ex-Beatle to tour the United States.

1975 Bob Dylan and Allen Ginsberg visit Jack Kerouac's grave in
Lowell, MA. The event is filmed and later appears in the
movie "Renaldo and Clara."

1979 The movie version of the Who's Quadrophenia, which features
Sting, opens.

1983 Public Image Ltd. begins its first full-scale tour of the
United Kingdom.

Ohio voters face delays from challenges

Cincinnati, OH, Nov. 2 (UPI) -- Elections officials are advising
Ohio voters to get to the polls early because of record long lines
and a federal court decision to permit voter challenges.

A three-judge panel of the 6th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals voted 2-
1 to allow Republicans and Democrats in polling places to challenge
the legitimacy of voters before they cast ballots. U.S. Supreme
Court Justice John Paul Stevens, who oversees Ohio, refused to refer
a request for a stay by Democrats to the full court about 20 minutes
before polls opened at 6:30 a.m.

Challenged voters can cast a provisional ballot that will be
verified later.

Challenges were expected in urban areas like Cleveland where
Democrats successfully registered thousands of new minority voters.
Early turnout was heavy, WXIX-TV, Cincinnati, said.

It is vital to make sure no one is cheating at the polls. Just as important
as the right to vote is the right that your vote not be polluted by people
attempting to vote twice, voting without registering, or using any other
method of fraud out there. People who do these things should feel
intimidated. If you are not one of them, there is nothing to fear.

voters in your state? No! So altho I agree that voter fraud should
be eliminated I disagree with the way they are handling it this time

So when they are challenged it's ok to tell them to "Blow me"?

URGENT!

FIRST: Thanks to everyone who has contributed so far. Gift shipments will
begin next week.

SECOND: Due to last minute unexpected expenses and schedule shifts at
Rolling Stone the 30 Years of Todd project is in jeopardy.

If the ad is to run as planned in the last issue of the year, the space MUST
BE RESERVED BY THIS FRIDAY. Originally I was told that we had until 11/20 to
make the payment and submit the final art and I planned two extra weeks into
the advertised deadline (to cover postage delays, last minute entries,
etc.). I informed yesterday the final deadline for payment is FRIDAY
NOVEMBER 12. This is 8 days sooner than expected.

The fall back position is to not run the ad until all the money is in place.
This would not be my first choice. The only other alternative is to commit
to the ad and hope the last minute contributions come through.

Below is the tracking for the numbers of fans who have contributed in the
last month. Please act now if you wish to help make this tribute a success.

Best,

W!B

Oct # Fans Amount
1-8 2 $ 55
9-15 8 $415
16-22 8 $440
23-31 4 $290
Nov 1-2 5 $165 ** 2 days results

Bullsh!t.

Your position is clear that you think only Republicans cheat and it is both
insulting and naïve.

I have just as much a right to defend that my vote is protected as you have
to insist that you have one.

If you act on your threat and hit someone as you imply, I hope you go to
jail as you rightfully should.

As a matter of temperance, I also hope that anyone in place to assure voters
are legitimate do so in an orderly and respectful manner.

It is important that all states voting rights and procedures be equally
protected. However, the closer the vote, the greater the need to assure
accurate and fair counting. Fraud is not limited to one party or the other.

I do not agree to a major overhaul approach. I do favor more proven
successful electronic tabulation methods and an end to exit poll reports
that influence voter turn out. The media should be restricted from making
early predictions.

Deb,I saw this reviewer, because he introduced himself to
another American fan outside the venue.
(He didn't see me,btw.)
Just like another "Lost in Translation" scene in Shibuya.
I lived in Shibuya many years ago. So,this town's so
familiar to me.

Today VH1 sent me email, they say"Please Go Out and Vote!".
no,no,I am not a voter for this VOTE 2004...
While I am watching CNN--I guess many people outside US
are really keeping eyes on this election.
Probably you guys are really busy with making line
to vote.
Anyhow,
I got VIP Pass(x 2) today.
Meet & Greet was not like that I expected...but
tonight a real PatroNet member posted to my BBS
and she said she made it to the last M&G in Tokyo.
She saw us(we VIP Pass holders were going back from
very brief Meet & Greet)and Mary Lou found her
and she said"Hurry!" and this member made it to M & G
by herself and met TR for the first time.
She said VIP Pass was
good for her.Glad to read her post.
(never known her. This is her first post to my BBS)
Several PatroNet members that I know said they
didn't buy VIP Pass. That's no problem.
But I thought maybe I was going to see a couple of PatroNet
members at M & G.Still,there's no one.
So I came to think there are not many members
in Japan...Probably many Japanese fans quit PatroNet.

When I received signed VIP Pass, now I found that
I'm glad I bought this Pass after all.It's a
good memory of Liars tour to me.

I never said I would hit you. I would merely keep walking, through you
if necessary if you are blocking me. You have NO credentials to be
challenging anything about me and my vote. That should be managed by
the voter rolls, the voter registration card and my ID at the polling
place by those working the election, not by some fascist who thinks he
has the right to question me and slow me down. Period.
