I love anime and the music. I don't know that many artists either except for Hikaru Utada and people who make anime music, like T.M. Revolution and people like that. What kinds of anime do you like?

No I haven't, since I am running out of Video Game music to search
for, I guess I listen to anything right now, But I'll do that later
since I'm in school while lunch is about to end. Thanks for the
Offer.
Just droping a line to say "Hello" and "Thanks for the invite!"
J-pop/j-rock is pretty much all I listen to, with the occational
Duran Duran :)
My favorite artist is Gackt. My fav group is Two-Mix. I also have an
exstensive Sailor Moon collection. Love the music from Gravitation
and Saber Marionettes (even though I have never watched the series...)
See you around!
Kimberly
If you actually post the mp3 to the group, the storage space will quickly be filled. I don't know what Blahoo's policy is toward mp3s of copyrighted music, but I doubt if they would be very happy. why don't you post a listing? In fact if you post yours, I'll post mine!

Thank you for inviting me to join TsukiTunes. I have a question. I have a lot of J-Pop, J-Rock, and anime songs and they are mp3s...some wma. I wanted to know if they could be posted to the group or would it be best just to type up a list and just take requests?

Thanks for the invitation. I love to listen to video game music,
anime music, and J-pop that is sung by Cute Japanese singers. Does
anyone have a song that you think I would like to listen to? Oh

Thanks!
any music file that is not the actual song (example an mp3 of the
song that you got off a cd) is probably ok to post i would think.if
you have a site w/music files (like MP3s), you could put a link to it
in the links section. if you want to take requests-im trying to see
if we can maybe play the music in the chatroom-that way we are not
giving the actual music files to people-but we can all listen.i know
we can do it if we have the speakers/voice thingys on the computer-
but i'm afraid thats one area im not too familiar with. maybe someone
else here knows what type of speaker or microphone we'd have to buy
to talk in the chatroom? anyone out there talk in the chatrooms and
know what to use?..a regular microphone maybe? we could have people
assigned as dj's in the chatroom for a particular time or night/day.
its probably best to keep your file exchanges person-to-person as you
know how sue crazy people are these days about illegal music
downloading/file exchanging...which sucks since some of these foreign
albums can be really hard to come by if you don't know where to look.
i remember back in the day i had to bid on ebay for stuff from japan,
since i couldn't get it in the US-now there's a lot more interest in
japanese music/anime, so there's more access to it. this group is
sorta to point people in the direction of where to obtain the music
they want-via a link, e-mail, etc...and of course to make people feel
like they can come out of the closet with their anime sdtks,
etc...and yes-most of us do get a little embarrased i'm sure when
we're driving down the street in the summer blaring sailormoon/ranma
1/2/Pokemon tunes w/the windows down and we come to the stoplight and
turn it down-lest someone catch us bopping along to it! it was sooo
much easier when i was in high school-people let it slide. i'm not
embarrassed to blare Hiki or Yoko Kanno, but anime songs like
Nadesico's "You Get to Burning"-i admit i've gotten some funny stares
from people in other cars before, so I now always turn it down at
stoplights etc...

ok-i've set-up link folders for japanese artists/groups in
the "Links" section to the left(also made one for anime music links).
please feel free to help out and pick your favorite artist(s) and add
links to you favorite sites for them as it will help out alot. if you
don't see an artist listed, feel free to add a folder for them. it
took me FOREVER to add all those folders...and it'll take me even
longer to upload all the midis on disk i have-so i encourage everyone
to search their hard drives and disc files for midi music and upload!
=) i don't want the group to get into legal trouble, so only upload
midis for now. you can put links to sites with other types of music
(MP3's etc...) in the links section if you want though. if anyone has
any other ideas for the group-feel free to post 'em. if anyone wants
to recommend artists as well to put links to on the main page, let me
know and we'll post your review's of the albums/songs/artists.
*theres also a polls section if you want to start a poll and see how
many people like the same artists as you (good way to meet pll in the
group who like the same artists).

for those of you who don't want to get every e-mail message that is
posted to the group as an individual e-mail (it'll clog up your
inbox), go to the members link and change your e-mail setting
to "Daily Digest", if you only want to get important e-mails about
general group activity or special event the group hosts,
choose "Special Notices". You can choose the "No E-mail" option but
then you'll have to visit the group to check out the messages that
have been posted on a daily/weekly basis to keep up with discussions.
Hope this helps as I know how much it sucks to get massive amounts of
e-mail a-day.

I haven't had a chance to see Hoshi no Koe. I've been dying to though
and I almost bought it just yesterday. But speaking of buying, I
recently bought Exodus and at first, I really thought I didn't like
it but it's growing on me. Not my favorite album but I guess that's
because it was Americanized for our industry. But I've got a pretty
big J-collection myself. I'm a spoiled brat and I don't know the
value of a dollar so I spend my hard earned tips on anything Japanese
^__^ I mostly get my stuff from e-Bay (I'm not 18 yet so sh!) and
YesAsia but I shop at Animenation sometimes too but really, their
prices can be easily beat. I download too but mostly for sampling
since I love CD's ^.^ Oh and to answer you're question, Inu-Yasha is
a groovy anime series by the lovely and talented Rumiko Takahashi
(Ranma 1/2, Urusei Yatsura, Mermaid's Scar) I think it still comes on
Cartoon Network but I'm 10000% Anti-Dubbed anime. I gotta admit
though, only watching authentic anime can get expensive O.o
Wow. I know, like, no artists. I just, like, chill and enjoy the
misic, although everyone already thinks I'm nuts to listen to music
in a language I don't understand well. They can't seem to figure out
why I'm not into rap and hip-hop lol. That's what I get for living
in a steryotypical "gangster" Canadian society.
I may not be on alot, school's got me tottaly booked all the time
recently...-_-' ugh.
I'm kinda attached to the Saiyuki soundtrack, tho...
^^ Klara, the one, the only...thank god.

I love Yoko Kanno's music as well. "Shadow of a Doubt" has got to be
my fav though (from "Escaflowne"). Just got the Star Child Selction
of hit songs on tv from animenation.com, and let me tell you-it
rocks! also just got the "Voices of a Distant Star" sdtk. that

I'm here. I don't know who it was that invited me to the group (didn't
recognize the email) but I'm glad to be here. I have a fairly large jpop
& anime music collection, mostly downloaded from the net and/or napster
back in the good old days. Also have a pretty fat stack of CDs, mostly
purchased from Yesasia.com. As my collection is pretty large I've not
added much new in several years. I mostly enjoy fast paced groups and
female artists. (Listening to Dreams Come True as I type.) Other favs
include Cherry Filter, Do As Infinity, et al. Am curious where other
group members are getting their music these days.

Ayu and Do As

What is Inu-Yasha?
Hey everyone! What's going on? So is anyone actually HERE? If so who
digs what? I'm a big Yoko Kanno (Cowboy Bebop, Escaflowne) fan as
well as a fan of Hikki (Feat. in Kingdom Hearts) Ayu and Do As
Infinity (both can be heard on Inu-Yasha). Malice Mizer and Bump of
Chicken are up there too. There's more to that list but it's one in
the AM and I'm tired -_-....And by the way, I uploaded some shibby
keen midis but I kept them at a minimum since I don't want to take up
too much space. I have a ton more though. Also, is anyone here into
video game music too? I worship Nobuo Uematsu (Final Fantasy) and
adore Masami Ueda (Devil May Cry), Noriko Matsueda (Final Fantasy X-
2), Yasunori Mitsuda (Chrono Trigger/Cross), and Yoko Shimomura
(Legend of Mana, Kingdom Hearts) Anyhoo, I'm glad to be here. Take
care!
~Kara
Launch Group and uploaded some midi files. also put links to a neat
japanese anime/j-pop, j-rock net radio station as well as link to dj
jinnai's site and Hikaru Utada's "Exodus" site! Enjoy!
