Hockey fans!
The Isles signed DiPietro to a 15-year deal....what???
In any case - we send this out with heavy hearts.
The Continental.
One of the great meccas for punk rock & rock 'n' roll in general, in
New York City, is closing its doors (at least to live music). We
have played the Continental more times than any other club - 28
times to be exact. This Saturday - September 16th will be our 29th -
and, sadly - final time on the Continental stage.
To say that we are devastated by the loss of the Continental would
be a complete understatement.....not just because it was a great
place to play & drink & hang out....but because it was a great place
for music & the scene.
We've been going to the Continental for years - long before 2MA
existed - and, although we will have played there (only) 29 times -
we've probably been there to see shows at least 100 times.
A big thanks to Trigger, Noel (best sound guy in NYC - bar NONE),
and everyone else who worked and bartended there....thanks for your
support - thanks for keeping rock 'n' roll alive through
the '80's, '90's, and '00's, and thanks for FINALLY PUTTING OUR
PHOTO ON THE WALL!!!! (that's all we really wanted anyway)......so
come join us for this final show....one last time...
