Hockey fans!!!

It's been several months since I last sent out an e-mail to this list.
I've been wondering if there is even a need for this list anymore.
With almost everyone being on MySpace these days, I wonder if this
e-mail list has become obsolete (our "Friends" list on MySpace has
many times the members that this e-mail list does).

If you are someone who would like to continue to receive news, show
announcements, etc. through this e-mail list - PLEASE REPLY BACK & LET
ME KNOW!!! If I get enough responses - it'll justify keeping this
going & I'll make sure not to slack off with this.

One other change I made to this list is that I've now opened up the
ability to post to everyone. We don't really have a message board -
and maybe this list can serve as one. Posts will be moderated so as
to avoid thousands of spam messages.

On to some 2MA news - in case anyone does actually still read this:

1) the 10 year anniversary shows came & went 2 weekends ago & were
absolutely amazing. The shows were insane & chaotic and...uh...wet.
Thanks to everyone who made these shows happen, who came out & of
course all the bands who opened up the shows. It was incredible
having Amstel & Teemu come up & play a bunch of old songs with
us...it was the first time we had all played together since 2001.

2) the last show of the year will be Saturday, November 17th in
Warrenton, VA....this show is special & important for 2 reasons: (a)
it's a benefit for the Culpeper Rock Academy; and (b) the Daycare
Swindlers are playing!!! the Swindlers are a band we met a few years
back & we spent a few weeks on the road together...we've been friends
ever since. It sucks that they broke up - but it rules that they do
get together every once in awhile to play a show (their drummer,
Reiter, produced & engineered the next 2MA record)....this is the
first time we've played with the Swindlers in about 3 1/2 years. If
you live anywhere in the Virginia/D.C. area - come out to this show -
it's for a good cause & the show will be absolutely killer. Tix are
onsale now - and there's a very good chance the show WILL sell out.

3) the next 2MA full-length - 'South of Canada' - will be coming out
next year on Rodent Popsicle Records. Rodent Popsicle is run by Bill
from Toxic Narcotic & Mouth Sewn Shut...he's a good friend - runs a
great label - and we're honored to be with them. 4 tracks from the
session will be on a split release on another label - more info about
that in the coming months.

4) the 'Drafted' re-issue (with bonus tracks) that we've been talking
about forever will also see a mid-2008 release. Adam who used to run
VMS Records has a new label going - and he'll be doing it.
