HOCKEY FANS!!!
Happy New Years to everyone.
2002 ended with one of our best shows of the year, at the Downtown
with Murphy's Law, Jones Crusher, and This Year's Model. It was a
Monday night, and the place was pretty much packed. Thanks to
everyone for allowing us to end the year on a high note (and, of
course, to the 2MA Cheerleading Squad).
2002 also ended sadly, with the death of our van, Snappy, who has
joined original 2MA bass player & founding member, Teemu Heineken, in
the 2MA Hall of Fame. Snappy died the night of the
Punk Olympics, and has since been donated to charity, and will spend
her golden years doing good work. We'll miss ya, Snappy! So now we
need a new van. If anyone has a van they just want to hand over to
their favorite hockey band, we're all ears.
What will 2003 bring??
Well - the first-half of the year will see us a little less on the
road than in recent times. Hopefully we'll get a new van by the
middle of the year, and continue our travels then.
2003 should also bring the 3rd 2MA full-length record. We should be
recording it in late-winter/early-spring, and Go Kart will hopefully
get it out by the summer or fall.
We're working on some new t-shirt designs, and we're even toying with
the idea of re-issuing our long out-of-print demo on a 3" CD or
something nutty like that.
