U-SPACES: Ultimate Strawberry Prune Alarm Clock Electric Spinach

This group started in March of 1997, and was founded on the following principles:

1. To provide an avenue to discuss psychedelic music bands, through an e-mail based format. Most of the dialogue resides with semi-obscure bands from 1966-72, although mainstream psych and newer neo-psych discussions are also fair game. We try not to focus too heavily on bands like the Grateful Dead or Jefferson Airplane, since they have their own groups, but in general the discussion topics are not limited or restricted.

2. To provide update information on new psych releases and reissues on CD or vinyl. A lot of people on this list operate music distribution companies and are encouraged to announce new psych releases or reissues as they become available. Plugging your services or products, as long as they relate to psychedelic music, is endorsed by this group.

3. To provide an avenue for tape/CDR trading of obscure psychedelic titles. One of my goals in this group is to provide a method for people to exchange lists and share psychedelic music with each other. This would be done either by trading cassettes or CDRs of the original (out of print) recordings, or through visiting the music websites of members on this list.
