Hi UncleRand fans,
Anybody have a favorite "Randy-ism"?  I enjoyed his use of the word 'thrashed'
after one concert when he was asked out for ice cream:."I am feeling  pretty
'thrashed'" Well, who wouldn't  after giving the kind of concert he does?!   Am
I cool enough to insert this into casual conversation someday?... I don't know.
Can a midwestern 49 yr old woman describe herself as 'thrashed'?
   Responses welcome,
   Linda

Well, I don't know if this counts as a "Randyism" but I have had many a
conversation with Randy over the years, always about something fun. In Wheaton
recently, I asked Randy if the son Turning Thirty was going to become "Turning
Sixty" given his age.

He looked at me with that face only Randy can give...eyebrows raised with a half
smile and he said "Ya know, truth be told that a day is as a thousand years and
a thousand years is as a day to the Lord, so, Dan...I'm not counting!" and we
laughed.

Hmm...a day is as a thousand years to the Lord? Well, I once asked the Lord
if he could bless me with a million dollars, saying that I would use those
funds to help others. The Lord said yes, He would give me a million
dollars, I would just have to wait a day.

I guess that's why I am still waiting....

I like it when he asks the sound engineer "Could I have some more/less guitar or
vocal? And later on some waffles?"

My favorite is when he would refer to himself as a "fun Guy" which had the
double meaning of "Fungi".

I have a bootleg recording of a 1981 show. There are a lot of gems. He uses
the fun guy/fungi one there. He also says, in the voice of one who I assume
is that of an elderly British woman: "the pause that refreshes" as he drinks
his water (or was it warm tea with lemon?). I use that a lot.
