All,
With the very gracious help of Stubbsonic (http://www.bubbastubbs.com/), I was able to work through an important Midi compatibility issue for VP. This issue w/o this fix meant VP did not work for you.
This fix will be in the next version of VP.
Anyway, if enough folks are interested I am open to fast-tracking this fix, possibly back port it to the previous version of VP and bypass the current development & test cycle (in progress). The current cycle could be another month or so to complete. Stubbsonic also has a K2000, so we are working quickly through some little K2000 issues as well (mostly VPM data file stuff); I could include some of those fixes as well.
Want to know more, read on ...
We have been able to work through an issue with some Midi drivers. This issue seems to have been most commonly been associated with Mac Midi drivers, but could also be associated with some Midi driver problems on the PC.
This issue is associated with very long Sysex messages (not very common) that the Kurzweil sends in response to graphics requests. I can't be sure how many would-be users this might have impacted, but this fix could be significant for many users that had previous Midi compatibility issues; VP simply would not have worked-out for you. Sadly, many of these users might have "given up" rather than try a new Midi interface. (I don't blame them!)
